Daniel Gaudet (born August 16, 1959), also known as Dan Gaudet, is a Canadian former artistic gymnast. He was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, raised in Toronto, and educated at Agincourt Collegiate Institute and York University.[ citation needed ] Gaudet currently teaches mathematics at the United World College of South East Asia in Singapore. He previously taught at the American British Academy in Muscat. He is married (his wife is a teacher who used to work at the same school), and has two daughters.

Career

Gaudet was a skilled gymnast. He competed for Canada in the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California, in the category of Artistic Gymnastics. He took part in all six events: Floor, Pommel Horse, Rings, Vault, Parallel Bars, High Bar. He placed 9th in Rings. In Individual All-Around, he placed 33rd. [1]

He was selected to the hall of fame in 2002. At the national finals, Gaudet collected 10 individual medals including three all-round championships. At the OUAA Championships, he collected a total of 21 medals including four all-round titles.

Daniele Hypólito Brazilian gymnast

Daniele Matias Hypólito is a Brazilian gymnast who competed in the 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games. Hypólito was the first athlete from Brazil to ever win a medal at the World Championships, a silver on floor exercise in 2001. She is also the nine-time senior all-around Brazilian National Champion in artistic gymnastics, 2002 South American Games all-around champion and 2003 Pan American Games all-around bronze medalist. To date Hypólito has won the Brazilian National Championships more than ten times; has represented Brazil at the World Championships thirteen times, competing in every Worlds meet from 1999 to 2015, except in 2009; has taken part in every edition of the Olympic Games from 2000 to 2016; and has competed at five Pan American Games between 1999 and 2015.

He was a member of the Russian teams that won the gold medals at the 2008 European Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championships and silver at the 2006 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. Ryazanov competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China, placing 17th in the All-Around qualification.

Cristina Bontaş is a Romanian former artistic gymnast, who competed in international events between 1987 and 1993. Her best events were the floor exercise, the vault, and the all around. She is a world champion on floor, a double olympic medalist and a six-time world medalist. Bontaş scored a perfect ten on floor in the all around event of the 1989 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships.

Jonathan Alan Horton is a retired American artistic gymnast. He is the 2008 Olympic silver medalist on high bar, the 2010 World all-around bronze medalist, a two-time Olympian, a two-time U.S. National All-Around Champion, and a 17-time medalist at the U.S. National Championships. At the 2008 Olympics, he also won a bronze medal with his U.S. teammates in the team competition. He also competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where he qualified for the high bar event final and finished in sixth place. He is the 2012 Olympic silver medalist in the all-around and on parallel bars as well as the 2011 and 2012 European Champion on the latter. Kelly Garrison-Funderburk, formerly known as Kelly Garrison-Steves, is a retired American artistic gymnast. An elite gymnast for eight years, she represented the United States at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. In addition to her Olympic experience, she participated in the 1983, 1985 and 1987 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. She was a two-time winner of the Honda Sports Award.
