Daniel Lozada is a Peruvian economist,who served as interior minister from December 2011 to May 2012.
Lozada is a businessman and an economist by profession. [1] [2] He was the general manager of Contilatin del PerúSA and Avícolas Asociadas SA. [2] He also served as chief of staff at the ministry of interior,where he developed projects such as the Voluntary Police Service and the Law for the Incorporation of Rural Patrols into Rural Patrols. He had a direct participation in the development of the policy of said ministry,leading a multidisciplinary team of advisers. [2] He completed his primary education at the Colegio San Joséin his hometown,and secondary at the Colegio Militar Francisco Bolognesi. He graduated as an economist from the La Molina National Agrarian University,in Lima.
He was appointed interior minister on 11 December 2011 in a reshuffle to the cabinet led by then prime minister Oscar Valdés. [2] [3] Lozada succeeded Valdés as interior minister. [4] [5] On 3 May 2012,the motion of censure against Lozada and Otárola was presented in plenary session for "incapacity,lack of leadership and strategy". Lozada and defense minister Alberto Otárola irrevocably resigned from office on 10 May. [6] William Calle replaced Lozada in the post. [7]
The Shining Path,self-named the Communist Party of Peru,is a far-left political party and guerrilla group in Peru,following Marxism–Leninism–Maoism and Gonzalo Thought. Academics often refer to the group as the Communist Party of Peru –Shining Path to distinguish it from other communist parties in Peru.

The Ethnocacerist movement is a Peruvian ethnic nationalist movement that espouses an ideology called ethnocacerism. The movement seeks to establish a dictatorship of the proletariat led by the country's Indigenous communities and their descendants. It draws on the ideas and history of several Indigenous and anti-colonial movements,including those of Juan Velasco Alvarado,Evo Morales,Gamal Abdel Nasser,Muammar Gaddafi,and Che Guevara. Ethnocacerism is considered an Indigenist ideology and is currently represented in electoral politics by the Union for Peru party and other smaller parties. The ideology is also followed by Peruvian militant groups such as the Plurinational Association of Tawantinsuyo Reservists and Ejército de Reservistas Andino Amazónico –T.
Ollanta Moisés Humala Tasso is a Peruvian politician and former military officer who served as President of Peru from 2011 to 2016. Originally a socialist and left-wing nationalist,he is considered to have shifted towards neoliberalism and the political centre during his presidency.

The Peruvian conflict is an ongoing armed conflict between the Government of Peru and the Maoist guerilla group Shining Path and its remnants. He was dismissed on 23 July 2012,after criticism on his handling of the Conga Mining project.
Ollanta Humala began his presidency when he was sworn into the office of President of the Republic of Peru on 28 July 2011. On the same day,he represented his cabinet,headed by the non-partisan Salomón Lerner Ghitis. On 10 December 2011,Lerner stepped down,following fierce protests against a mining project. He was replaced by Interior Minister Oscar Valdés. The next day,Valdés presented a new cabinet,having replaced eleven ministers.
