At the end of the 2019 season he was voted Supporter's Player of the Year at Finn Harps. In November 2019 O'Reilly signed for Shelbourne. [9]
In December 2020 he moved to 2020 League of Ireland First Division Winners Drogheda United ahead of their first season back in the League of Ireland Premier Division, where he was voted Club Player of the Year in his only season at the club. [10]
On 1 January 2022, O'Reilly's agency (Stephen Hunt Management) announced that he had signed for Scottish Championship side Hamilton Academical, after rejecting several offers from Ireland. [11]
In November 2023 O'Reilly signed a deal until January 2024 with Scottish Championship side Raith Rovers after remaining a free agent since he left Hamilton in June 2023. [12]
O'Reilly signed for fellow Scottish Championship side Partick Thistle in January 2024 on an 18 month contract. [13] [14]
O’Reilly signed a one year contract extension with Thistle in October 2024. [15]
O’Reilly scored his first goal for Thistle with a header from a corner, in a 2–0 away win over Airdrie. [16]

The 2017 League of Ireland First Division season is the 33rd season of the League of Ireland First Division. The league began on 24 February 2017 and concludes on 7 October 2017. The 2017 season had no promotion/relegation play-off system like the previous years, only one team would be eligible for promotion whilst three teams would be relegated from the League of Ireland Premier Division in a revamp of the leagues by the FAI.
The 2017 season was St. Patrick's Athletic F.C.'s 88th year in existence and was the Supersaint's 66th consecutive season in the top-flight of Irish football. With the new change to the League of Ireland structure, 3 clubs were set to be relegated from the Premier Division, which has created an intense relegation between many clubs, including Pats' due to their lower budget than previous years following a poor 2016 season in which they finished 7th in the league, making 2017 the first year in 7 years without European football.
