The season ended with the Prairie Meadows 250 at Iowa Speedway eight months later. Frank Kimmel won the driver's championship, his eighth in the series, while Blake Bjorklund won the Rookie of the Year award.
Robert Santos III is an American professional racing driver from Franklin, Massachusetts. He graduated in 2004 from Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School. Santos, nicknamed "Bobby New England", is the grandson of Bobby Santos, a former modified racer. His sister, Erica Santos, is also a racecar driver. He is the cousin of former University of New Hampshire quarterback Ricky Santos.

He has also previously competed in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, NASCAR Truck Series, ARCA Menards Series, ARCA Menards Series East and NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. He is the son of former NASCAR driver Mike McLaughlin.
Patrick W. Emerling is an American professional stock car racing driver and team owner. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, driving the No. 1 Chevrolet for Rick Gautreau, as well as part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series driving for the No. 07 Ford Mustang for SS-Green Light Racing.
Wayne L. W. Miller III is an American professional stock car racing driver. He is a member of the Earnhardt family, as the husband of Kelley Earnhardt Miller. Miller is the 2008 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour champion and competed in that series full-time from 2006 to 2011 and part-time in 2012. He has also competed part-time in what is now the NASCAR Xfinity Series, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, what is now the ARCA Menards Series, what is now the ARCA Menards Series East, and the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour in the past.

It began with the Widow Wax 125 presented by SealWrap Repair Tape at Bristol Motor Speedway on March 17, and ended with the Classic 3 Championship at Rockingham Speedway on November 3. Rocco is known as one of the most successful weekly drivers of all time, garnering multiple track championships across all 3 Connecticut tracks in multiple types of race cars, including Modifieds and late models. His father Ronnie Rocco was a successful modified driver, and is the twin brother to Jeff Rocco, who also races.
