Daphne de Jong is an aerospace engineer and a trained commercial pilot. [1] In 2018, she was listed as Forbes 30 under 30 in consumer technology. [1] She worked on the first Amazon Prime Air [2] customer delivery in the United Kingdom. [3] She is a board director at United Nations Women in San Francisco.
De Jong graduated from Cranfield University with a MSc in aerospace engineering and from International Space University with a MSc in space technologies. [4]
Daphne de Jong worked for Waymo [5] and Rivian on advanced autonomous vehicles. Previously, she also worked for SpaceX. At Amazon Prime Air she contributed to deliver Amazon's packages to their customers by autonomous drones. [3] [2] [4] She also spent time at NASA Ames, focused on optimizing flight networks. [1] [4]

Renate Maria Dorrestein was a Dutch writer, journalist and feminist. She started working as a junior journalist for the Dutch magazines Libelle and Panorama. During the period 1977 - 1982 she published in Het Parool, Viva, Onkruid and Opzij. Dorrestein published her first novel (Buitenstaanders) in 1983. Her sister's suicide had a great influence on her books. Dorrestein won the Annie Romein prize in 1993 for her complete body of work. A lot of Dorrestein's books were translated, and they were sold in 14 countries.
Anna Maria Geertruida "Annie" Schmidt was a Dutch writer. She is called the mother of the Dutch theatrical song, and the queen of Dutch children's literature, praised for her "delicious Dutch idiom," and considered one of the greatest Dutch writers. An ultimate honour was extended to her posthumously, in 2007, when a group of Dutch historians compiled the "Canon of the Netherlands" and included Schmidt, alongside national icons such as Vincent van Gogh and Anne Frank.

The Tabakspanden are a group of buildings standing on the Spuistraat in central Amsterdam, adjacent to the Keizerrijk and Wijdesteeg alleyways. Named after a former owner, the speculator Hendrik Tabak, they were mostly squatted from 1983 onwards, although the artist Peter Klashorst also rented an apartment and gallery space. The best known building was Spuistraat 199, known as the Slangenpand (Snakehouse) because of the large mural which covered the front exterior. In 2015, the squatters were evicted and the buildings were mostly demolished prior to redevelopment. The new project is known as De Keizer and has 69 apartments, a restaurant and a gallery. Two of the buildings are registered as rijksmonumenten.
