Referred to in the media as "Khiladi Kumar", through his career spanning over 30 years, Kumar has appeared in over 100 films and has won several awards, including a National Film Awards and two Filmfare Awards. He received the Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian honour, from the Government of India in 2009. Kumar is one of the most prolific actors in Indian cinema. Forbes included Kumar in their lists of both highest-paid celebrities and highest-paid actors in the world from 2015 to 2020. Between 2019 and 2020, he was the only Indian on both lists.

Koffee with Karan is an Indian talk show hosted by filmmaker and television personality Karan Johar and produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, the digital content division of Johar's production company Dharma Productions. It debuted on 19 November 2004, and has aired eight seasons over a span of eighteen years. Distributed by Disney Star, its first six seasons aired on Star World India (2004–2019). In 2022, Koffee with Karan moved to Disney+ Hotstar as a streaming exclusive under the service's content label and hub, Hotstar Specials; thereafter the succeeding seasons have aired on the platform. Also that year, Johar's Dharmatic Entertainment replaced Banijay's SOL India as the show's production company. It is the second longest-running talk show after Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan on Indian Hindi-language television, as well as one of the most-watched Indian English-language television shows. In 2007, the show won an Indian Television Academy Award for Best Talk Show and Johar won Best Talk Show Anchor.

The series is hosted by Manish Paul yet again. Malaika Arora, Shahid Kapoor, and Ganesh Hegde and Lauren Gottlieb judged the eighth season. The finale took place on 10 October 2015 declaring Faisal Khan and Vaishnavi as the winners while popular actress Sanaya Irani and Jai was the first runners-up.

The film stars Akshay Kumar with Parineeti Chopra, Vikram Singh Chauhan, Sarwar, Vansh Bhardwaj, Jaspreet Singh, Vivek Saini, Vikram Kochhar, and Rakesh Sharma in supporting roles. It follows the events leading to the Battle of Saragarhi, a battle between 21 Sikh soldiers of the 36th Sikh Regiment of the British Indian Army and 10,000 Afridi and Orakzai Pashtun tribesmen in 1897.
"Teri Mitti" is a patriotic Hindi song, written by Manoj Muntashir, composed by Arko Pravo Mukherjee, and sung by singer B Praak. It was released in March 2019 and featured on the soundtrack of the 2019 Hindi film Kesari, starring Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra, who later sang the female version. The aim of the song was to reflect a dying soldier's last thoughts in the film's final scene.
