Darrell Weaver (born March 15,1962) is an American politician who has served in the Oklahoma Senate from the 24th district since 2018. Weaver served 28 years in law enforcement serving his last nine years as the Director of the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics. In 2015 he was inducted into the Oklahoma Law Enforcement Hall of Fame. Weaver is married to Kim,a Medical Doctor and they have five children. [1] [2]
The United States Marshals Service (USMS) is a federal law enforcement agency in the United States. The Marshals Service serves as the enforcement and security arm of the U.S. federal judiciary,although it is an agency of the U.S. Department of Justice and operates under the direction of the U.S. Attorney General. The Bureau of Alcohol,Tobacco,Firearms and Explosives (BATFE),commonly referred to as the ATF,is a domestic law enforcement agency within the United States Department of Justice. Its responsibilities include the investigation and prevention of federal offenses involving the unlawful use,manufacture,and possession of firearms and explosives;acts of arson and bombings;and illegal trafficking and tax evasion of alcohol and tobacco products. Ruby Ridge was the site of a siege of a cabin occupied by the Weaver family in Boundary County,Idaho,in August 1992. On August 21,deputies of the United States Marshals Service (USMS) came to arrest Randy Weaver under a bench warrant after his failure to appear on federal firearms charges.
