Dash & Will are an Australian indie pop/pop rock duo formed in 2005, from Melbourne.
Dash (Charlotte "Charlie" Thorpe) and Will (Josie De Sousa-Reay) first met in early 1999, at age nine. The pair both started grade four on the same day at the same new school, Preshil: The Margaret Lyttle Memorial School. Their original relationship was bitter, as Josie recalls the two had "hated each other for quite a few years". At age twelve, they began performing together and in year nine (age fourteen), Charlie and Josie were awarded a small financial grant to record a professional demo of their original songs. [1]
The following year, in 2005, Josie's dad was talking to the father of one of the girl's classmates, Barry Palmer a Melbourne-based producer and former guitarist with Hunters & Collectors and Deadstar. Not long after, Palmer contacted the girls and asked if they would come into the studio for a chat and live performance. He then signed the duo to his music production company, Gigantically Small, and they would eventually sign to Mercury Records through Universal Music Australia. [1]
Dash and Will headlined the 2008 Rock the Schools tour across New South Wales in May, as well as supporting Ben Lee, Matt Costa and Faker's Nathan Hudson. [1] [2] Their first single, "Pick You Up", was released in May 2008, and second single "Fighting Over Nothing" was released in October 2008.
Dash and Will supported British indie rockers The Kooks on their Australian tour in August and September 2008 as well as The Futureheads, End of Fashion and Van She. They were also on the bill to play the long-running summer festivals Homebake and Falls Festival, also playing on The Other Stage at Southbound in 2009. [3]
In September 2008, the duo's version of The Easybeats' "Somethin' Wrong" was released on Easy Fever, a compilation of The Easybeats' classic songs performed by Australian and New Zealand artists. [4]
Dash & Will once again supported The Kooks on their second tour of Australia in January 2009, as well as supporting another UK band The Ting Tings. The duo found exposure through appearances on numerous Australian television programs, including children show Saturday Disney and music quiz shows RocKwiz and 'Spicks and Specks'. They also hosted four episodes of a music based show for kids, The Go Show, on the Foxtel channel Nickelodeon.
They released their debut studio album, Up in Something , in August 2009.
In May 2011, Dash and Will also supported Justin Bieber on his 'My World' tour in Australia. [5]

Bieber debuted the acoustic version of his song in his official YouTube account after American country pop singer Taylor Swift used Bieber's single "One Time" as background music in one of her video tour diaries. The song was later released exclusively to iTunes as the second promotional single from his debut studio release, My World on November 4, 2009.

Will Stoker and the Embers are a band based in Perth, Western Australia fronted by singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Will Stoker. In 2007 they won the Western Australian final of the National Campus Band Competition and then went to Melbourne to win the national final. They have also received a public voted nomination for Favourite Newcomer at the West Australian Music Industry Association awards 2009. Guitarist Luke Dux and Bassist Ryan Dux also won industry voted awards for Best Guitarist and Best Bassist respectively.
Kid Sam are a Melbourne-based duo consisting of cousins Kieran and Kishore Ryan (drums). The band's first performance was in January 2006, and they started getting airplay on Triple J's "unearthed" program in 2008. Their debut self-titled album was released in 2009 to positive reviews and they went on their first national headline tour in 2010. Kid Sam were nominated for a J Award and the Australian Music Prize. Their final live performance was in August 2010 in Melbourne supporting Grizzly Bear and Here We Go Magic at the Palais Theatre in Melbourne. Both cousins moved on to other projects, with Kishore drumming for bands such as Seagull, Otouto and Where Were You At Lunch since then. Kieran Ryan spent 2011-12 recording a self-titled solo album, which was released in 2013. The duo played a one-off show at their record label's party in April 2015.
The Jane Austen Argument is an Australian musical duo from Melbourne. Formed in 2010 by Tom Dickins and Jen Kingwell, the band considers themselves an "indie cabaret duo with overtones of anti-folk and punk love". The duo has had a great amount of support by friend and fellow artist Amanda Palmer, and have supported her on her Goes Down Under Tour of 2011 as well as featured on her compilation record of the same name. Their debut album Somewhere Under The Rainbow was released through Bandcamp on 2 March 2012.
The Audibles is an American pop and hip hop production duo from Las Vegas, Nevada, consisting of Dominic "DJ Mecca" Jordan and Jimmy "Jimmy G" Giannos. They originally met in 2007 at the “Lost in Love” music video shoot for Polow Da Don artists I-15 at the Palms Casino in Paradise, Nevada. They coined their name The Audibles from its root definition “to be heard” and “to change the game,” as seen by quarterbacks in football. JR Castro and Das offered an opportunity for the two to move to Atlanta and develop their art further under producer Polow Da Don.
Charlotte "Charlie" Thorpe who performs as Charlz is an Australian indie pop musician and songwriter. As Dash she was one-half of the pop rock duo, Dash and Will, from 2005 to 2011 with Josie de Sousa-Reay as Will. Since 2011 the artist performs as Charlz and contributes as a songwriter to screen music for film, television and ads.
