Dave Legeno (12 October 1963 – 6 July 2014) was a British actor, mixed martial artist, and professional wrestler.
Legeno was born David Steven Murray in Marylebone, London, England. [1]
Legeno's first major film role was in Guy Ritchie's Snatch . He had roles in Batman Begins , Elizabeth: The Golden Age , Centurion , and Last Knights . Most notably, Legeno played the werewolf Fenrir Greyback in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince , Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 , and Part 2 . [2]
Legeno voiced and motion-captured for the video game The Getaway: Black Monday as a protagonist, Eddie O'Connor. He was trained in various combat styles, including boxing, wrestling, judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Muay Thai. [3]
He also was a professional wrestler as Lone Wolf for the British Wrestling Federation from 1991 to 1992.
Legeno's body was found by a pair of hikers on 6 July 2014 in Death Valley, California, United States. Due to the remoteness of the area, a helicopter was called in to retrieve his remains. Legeno died of heat-related health problems and may have been dead for three to four days before his body was discovered. No foul play was suspected. [4] [5] [6]
A memorial evening took place in London on 12 October 2014, which would have been Legeno's 51st birthday. It was held at Camden Underworld, the venue where Legeno had held his album launch in 2004. The memorial was attended by fellow cast members of Harry Potter and Snatch, as well as by friends from the mixed martial arts community and music industry. Actors Tom Felton and Nick Moran and Cage Rage founder, Dave O'Donnell, spoke about Legeno, and his favourite songs were performed live.
The film Last Knights was dedicated to his honour.

The Death Eaters are characters featured in the Harry Potter series of novels and films. They are a radical group of wizards and witches, led by the dark wizard Lord Voldemort, who seek to purify the wizarding community by eliminating wizards and witches born to non-magical parents. They attempt to create a new order within the Ministry of Magic by spreading fear through the wizarding community and murdering those who speak out against them. Their primary opposition is the Order of the Phoenix.

Puroresu (プロレス) is a Japanese term used for professional wrestling in and outside of Japan. The term comes from the Japanese pronunciation of "professional wrestling", which in Japanese is abbreviated to “puro” & “resu”. Cung Le is an American actor, retired mixed martial artist, Sanshou fighter and kickboxer. Le is perhaps best known in mixed martial arts for competing in Strikeforce, holding a record of 7–1 with the organization before its demise. He defeated Frank Shamrock to become the second Strikeforce Middleweight Champion before vacating the title to further pursue his acting career. He competed as a middleweight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), holding a record of 2–2 with the organization. In kickboxing and sanshou, he is a former International Kickboxing Federation Light Heavyweight World Champion, having a professional kickboxing record of 17–0 before moving to mixed martial arts.
Hisao Egawa is a Japanese voice actor from Tokyo who works for Aoni Production. Kimo Leopoldo, is an American retired mixed martial artist and actor. He made his MMA debut at UFC 3 in 1994, losing to Royce Gracie by submission. A professional from 1994 until 2011, he also competed in the PRIDE Fighting Championships, Cage Rage, and the World Fighting Alliance.
