An English team raised by the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) toured New Zealand between December 1906 and March 1907. Anthony Warren Short is a former New Zealand cricketer who played three first class cricket matches and a single one day match for Central Districts between 1978 and 1980. A right-handed batsman,he struggled at first-class level,scoring only 96 runs from five innings –largely in a career-best knock of 33. He did,however,enjoy greater success as an all-rounder in District Cricket's Hawke Cup for Wairarapa,and as a bowler for Central District's under-23 team. He was also a very occasional right-arm medium bowler,who sent down a tidy yet wicket-less 64 balls.
Rex Sinclair Challies was a New Zealand cricketer for Central Districts and Wellington between 1947 and 1956,in a total of 17 first class cricket matches. A legbreak spin-bowler,he took 45 wickets at 37.08,and contributed 98 runs in the lower order.
Douglas Stuart St John was a New Zealand sportsman who played field hockey for the New Zealand national team and first class cricket for Otago and Wellington between the 1946–47 and 1956–57 seasons. A right-handed batsman,St. John played 34 first-class matches,scoring 1,236 runs at 20.94 with five half-centuries.

He made his Twenty20 (T20) debut for Otago on 26 December 2016 in the 2016–17 Super Smash. He made his List A debut for Otago on 25 January 2017 in the 2016–17 Ford Trophy.

Malcolm "Harry" Moorhouse was an English-born cricketer who played first-class cricket in New Zealand for Canterbury and Wellington from 1884 to 1908.
