David Andersson (born 25 December 1981) [1] is a Swedish orienteering competitor and European champion.
He received a gold medal in relay at the European Orienteering Championships in 2006 in Otepää, together with Niclas Jonasson and Peter Öberg. [2]
He received a silver medal in relay at the 2007 World Orienteering Championships in Kyiv, together with Peter Öberg and Emil Wingstedt. [3] [4]
He received a gold medal at the 2001 Junior World Ski Orienteering Championships.
Simone Niggli-Luder is a Swiss orienteering athlete who has twice won all four women's competitions at the world championships. She is widely seen as one of the greatest orienteers of all time.
Jani Lakanen is a Finnish orienteering competitor, winner of the 2006 World Orienteering Championships.
Pasi Ikonen was a Finnish orienteering competitor, winner of the middle distance at the 2001 World Orienteering Championships. His other achievements include two individual silver medals at the world championships, and medals at the World Games and the European championships.

Daniel Hubmann is a Swiss orienteering competitor. Hubmann is the most successful male Swiss orienteer of all time, with 9 Gold medals at the World Orienteering Championships. In 2023, with his victory in the relay at the 2023 World Orienteering Championships, Hubmann became the oldest competitor to win a gold medal at the World Orienteering Championships, at the age of 40 years and 61 days. Hubmann is currently the third most successful male orienteer of all time, behind Thierry Gueorgiou and Olav Lundanes, and has won more medals in total than any other male orienteer.

Tatiana Ryabkina is a Russian orienteering competitor. She won the O-Ringen in 2012 and had international success.
Olle Kärner is an Estonian orienteering competitor from Tartu. He received a bronze medal in the long distance at the 2006 European Orienteering Championships in Otepää.
Lina Persson is a Swedish orienteering competitor and European champion. She received a gold medal in the relay event at the 2008 European Orienteering Championships in Ventspils, together with Emma Engstrand and Helena Jansson. She qualified for the finals and finished 10th in the long distance and 12th in the middle distance at the 2008 European championships.
Marianne Riddervold is a Norwegian orienteering competitor. She received a silver medal in the relay event at the 2005 World Orienteering Championships in Aichi, together with Marianne Andersen and Anne Margrethe Hausken.
Mari Fasting is a Norwegian orienteering competitor and ski mountaineer. She is a two-time Junior World Orienteering Champion. She represents the club NTNUI of Trondheim, and is related to the ski mountaineer Ola Berger.
Øystein Kvaal Østerbø is a Norwegian orienteering and ski-orienteering competitor. He finished overall third in the Orienteering World Cup in 2004, and won a silver medal in the relay in the 2004 World Ski Orienteering Championships. He has competed in all fifteen World Orienteering Championships since his debut in 2004 until 2018, obtaining his first two medals in Inverness in 2015; in the relay and mixed sprint relay, respectively. His best individual achievements are fourth places in the sprint in 2005 and 2010.
Damien Renard is a French orienteering competitor. He has received silver medals with the French relay team in both world championships and European championships. He won Swedish middle-distance championship in 2005.

Maja Møller Alm is a Danish orienteering and Athletics competitor who has won seven World Championships and two World Games titles. She is especially known for her four gold medals on the sprint distance, where she has won the title four years in a row: 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. She is also a medalist from the Junior World Championships. Since 2006 she has been coached by Danish national coach Lars Lindstrøm. Alm is remarkable for her dominant running speed, which gives her a great advantage over other competitors at the sprint distance.

François Gonon is a French orienteering competitor. He has received gold and silver medals with the French relay team in both world championships and European championships. He currently competes for the French orienteering club O'JURA and for the Swedish orienteering club IFK Göteborg.
