David Brown (born February 1, 1985) is a former professional ice hockey goaltender who is currently playing for the Stoney Creek Generals in the ACH. He most recently played for the Fife Flyers of the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL). Brown was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 8th round, 228th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
Brown was originally drafted from the Kilty Bees. Brown progressed through the Hamilton minor hockey ranks to the Provincial A Kilty Bees, and was eventually drafted by the Mississauga Ice Dogs of the OHL (Ontario Hockey League), where he was their fifth round selection in the 2001 draft. Once Brown finished his junior career, he eventually moved on to the University of Notre Dame.
Before turning professional, Brown played four seasons for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and was named MVP in 2006. [1] He was a finalist for the 2007 Hobey Baker Award, which is awarded to the top collegiate player in the country. [2] On July 3, 2007, Brown signed an entry-level contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins. [3]
On February 18, 2011, the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League signed Brown to a professional tryout contract, although he never suited for the Marlies, Brown remained in the Central Hockey League with the Quad City Mallards, Arizona Sundogs, Allen Americans and the Wichita Thunder.
On July 5, 2014, Brown left the CHL and signed abroad on a two-year contract with the Hull Stingrays of the EIHL, during which he studied for his master's degree at the University of Hull. [4]
Brown played for the Fife Flyers in the Elite Ice Hockey League for the 2015–16 season and last played for the Stoney Creek Generals in the 2018 ACH. [5]

Thomas Patrick Barrasso is an American professional ice hockey coach and former professional ice hockey goaltender. He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for 18 seasons. Barrasso began his time in the NHL with the Buffalo Sabres, who selected him fifth overall in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft out of high school. He was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1988, where he would best be remembered and spend the majority of his career. Barrasso spent parts of 12 seasons with the Penguins, and was a Stanley Cup champion in 1991 and 1992. After being traded to the Ottawa Senators in March 2000 and sitting out the 2000–01 season, his final two seasons were split playing for the Carolina Hurricanes, Toronto Maple Leafs, and St. Louis Blues. Barrasso was inducted into the United States Hockey Hall of Fame in 2009 and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2023.
The Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL), sometimes referred to internationally as the British Elite League, is an ice hockey league in the United Kingdom. Formed in 2003 following the demise of the Ice Hockey Superleague, it is the highest level of ice hockey competition in the United Kingdom.
The British National League (BNL) was the second tier of the professional ice hockey league in the United Kingdom between 1996 and 2005. Although no formal promotion and relegation existed during its period of existence, it was considered to have been a standard below that of the Ice Hockey Superleague and above that of the English National Ice Hockey League and the Scottish National League. Fife Flyers and Guildford Flames were the only two teams to consistently feature in the BNL during every season of the league's history.

He was selected in the fifth round, 129th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. On July 1, 2017, he signed a two-year entry-level contract with the Kings as an unrestricted free agent.
