David George Roniel Eames (born 15 April 1937) is an English former first-class cricketer.
Born at London Colney,Ellis made one appearance in first-class cricket for the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) against Oxford University at Lord's in 1958. [1] Batting twice in the match,he was dismissed for 14 runs by Andrew Corran in the MCC first-innings,while in their second-innings he was dismissed by Ian Gibson for 7 runs. [2] He also bowled four wicket-less overs. [2]
Edward William Bastard was an English first-class cricketer who played for Oxford University and Somerset. Bastard was a slow left-arm orthodox bowler,described in his Wisden obituary as Somerset's best bowler during his time with the club. Bastard was also part of the Oxford team often said to be the university's best ever.
Arnold James Fothergill was an English professional cricketer who played first-class cricket for Somerset County Cricket Club and the MCC in a career which spanned from 1870 until 1892. A left-arm fast-medium pace bowler,he appeared for England in two Test matches in 1889.

The Magdalen Ground was a cricket ground in Oxford,England. The ground was owned by the University of Oxford and used by Magdalen College,a constituent college of the University of Oxford. Originally forming the northern point of Cowley Marsh,the ground was initially associated with the Magdalen College School,whose students played cricket there. By 1829,the Oxford University Cricket Club had been given a part of the marsh where the College School played cricket. In 1851,it was purchased at auction by the University of Oxford and leased to the University Cricket Club. The ground operated as a first-class cricket venue from 1829 to 1880,hosting 69 first-class matches. The University Cricket Club left the ground following the 1880 season to play at the University Parks from 1881.
Frederic Tristram Welman (1849–1931) was an English amateur cricketer who played 65 first-class matches for the Marylebone Cricket Club,Somerset and Middlesex. He was a wicket-keeper who also played as a lower-order batsman. He did not pass 50 runs in any first-class innings during his career.
