Daxuecheng (literally University Town) is a station on Line 1 of Chongqing Rail Transit in Chongqing Municipality, China. [1] [2] It is located in Shapingba District. It opened in 2012.

Chongqing is a municipality in Southwestern China. Chongqing is one of the four direct-administered municipalities under the Central People's Government, along with Beijing, Shanghai, and Tianjin. It is the only directly administrated municipality located deep inland. The municipality covers a large geographical area roughly the size of Austria, which includes several disjunct urban areas in addition to Chongqing proper. Due to its classification, the municipality of Chongqing is the largest city proper in the world by area, though it does not have the largest urban area.
Bo Xilai is a Chinese former politician who was convicted on bribery and embezzlement charges. He came to prominence through his tenures as Mayor of Dalian and then the governor of Liaoning. From 2004 to November 2007, he served as Minister of Commerce. Between 2007 and 2012, he served as a member of the Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and Communist Party Secretary of Chongqing, a major interior municipality. He was generally considered the main political rival of Xi Jinping before Xi became the paramount leader of China.
Chang'an Automobile Co., Ltd.(CCAG) is a Chinese state-owned automobile manufacturer headquartered in Jiangbei, Chongqing. Founded in 1862, it is China's oldest automobile maker. It is currently the smallest of the "Big Four" state-owned car manufacturers of China, namely: SAIC Motor, FAW Group, Dongfeng Motor Corporation, and Changan Automobile, with car sales of 5.37 million, 3.50 million, 3.28 million and 2.30 million in 2021 respectively.
The Chongqing Rail Transit is the rapid transit system in the city of Chongqing, China. In operation since 2005, it serves the transportation needs of the city's main business and entertainment downtown areas and inner suburbs. As of December 2023, CRT consisted of eleven lines, with a total track length of 523.68 km (325 mi). Lines 1, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 18, the Loop line and Jiangtiao line are conventional heavy-rail metro lines, while Lines 2 and 3 are high-capacity monorails. To keep up with urban growth, construction is under way on Line 18 and several other lines, in addition to extensions to Lines 5, 6 and 10.

Chongqing Tall Tower is a supertall skyscraper with 101 floors and with a roof height of 431 m (1,414 ft) planned for Chongqing, China. The design has gone through several versions, requiring the demolition of the base for a previous version of the project, but the project was cancelled in December 2022.
Yuzhong District (渝中区) is the central district and heart of Chongqing municipality. It is the capital of the municipality and is also the political, economical, and entertainment center of the city of Chongqing. The Chongqing World Financial Center, also known as Global Financial Building is a late-modernist supertall skyscraper in Chongqing, China. The 339-meter (1,112 ft)-tall office tower contain 79 floors. The skyscraper was first proposed in 2007 and broke ground in 2010. Construction of the glass and steel-building was completed in 2014. Upon completion, it was the tallest building in Chongqing, and has been surpassed by the Chongqing International Trade and Commerce Center in 2017.
The Chongqing–Lichuan railway, or the Yuli railway is a railway connecting central Chongqing with the Hubei city of Lichuan. The 244 km (152 mi) long railway, connecting Chongqing North railway station with the Lichuan Station on the Yichang–Wanzhou railway, is a section of the Shanghai–Wuhan–Chengdu passenger railway, which extends to Wuhan, Nanjing, and Shanghai.
The Chengdu–Chongqing intercity railway is a 307-kilometre (191 mi) long high-speed railway that connects the cities of Chengdu (Sichuan) and Chongqing in southwestern China, with a maximum speed of 350 km/h (220 mph). The route passes through most of the same cities that the older Chengdu–Chongqing Railway does, but is significantly shorter due to the greater use of elevated sections and tunnels. The line includes four major elevated sections and two tunnels.

The Chongqing West railway station is a railway station of Chengyu Passenger Railway that is located in Shapingba District of Chongqing, People's Republic of China. It is the second largest railway station, after Xi'an North, in South Western China when opened on January 25, 2018. It will serve as Chongqing's connection with many destinations across south-western and north-western China. Situated in Shangqiao area of Shapingba, near the intersections of the G93 Chengdu–Chongqing Ring Expressway and the G85 Chongqing–Kunming Expressways. This is the third major railway station to serve Chongqing, after Chongqing North and Chongqing Stations. It opened in conjunction with the smaller nearby Shapingba station on the same day.
Suining–Chongqing railway is a high-speed railway connecting Chongqing and Suining, Sichuan as part of the Shanghai–Wuhan–Chengdu high-speed railway. It is also known as Suiyu railway, following the Chinese practice of combining the shortened version of the terminal city's name. It is a national grade I railway with two electrified lines, with a designed maximum speed of 200 km (120 mi), although maximum operating speed is currently 160 km/h.
The Chongqing–Chengdu Expressway, commonly referred to as the Yurong Expressway and designated G5013, is a partially completed 251-kilometre-long expressway (156 mi) that connects the cities of Chongqing and Chengdu. The Chongqing section of the expressway opened on 25 December 2013.
Chongqing Xiannvshan Airport or Chongqing Xiannüshan Airport is an airport that serves Wulong, Chongqing municipality, China. The airport is located in the town of Xiannüshan (仙女山), also spelled as Xiannyushan or Xiannvshan, 20 kilometres (12 mi) north of the urban center of Wulong District, it is expected to mainly serve tourists visiting the Wulong Karst landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Construction began in 2014 and lasted five years, with an estimated total cost of 1.333 billion yuan.
The Port of Chongqing is the port of the Chongqing municipality, laid out along the shores of the Yangtze, Jialing and Wujiang rivers. It is the deepest inland class I port in China.
Tan Qiwei is a former Chinese politician of Tujia ethnic heritage. He was the Vice Mayor of Chongqing, then the Vice Chairman of the Chongqing People's Congress. He was dismissed from office in May 2014 and placed under investigation by the Communist Party's anti-corruption body.
