"Dear Mama" is a song by Zambian singer and songwriter B Flow and the title track from his fifth studio album Dear Mama (2016). [1] [2] It was written and composed by B Flow with production handled by Killa Beats 'KB'. It was released in March 2016, as the lead single from the album.
"Dear Mama" is a song where B Flow tells a story of the problems faced during his childhood and he cries out why his late mother – the Genesis of his victory story is not here to dine to the success. He also reminisces about the Kabwe days. [3]
"Dear Mama" was written and composed by B Flow. It features some parts of the President of the United States Barack Obama's speech during the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) in Washington DC where he was also endorsed by the US President. [4] [5]
The song was sung in Nyanja and English where B Flow cries out why his late mother – the Genesis of his victory story is not here to dine to the success. He also reminisces about the Kabwe days where he moved from selling sweets on the streets of Kabwe to rubbing shoulders with Barack Obama. In his own words from the song, B Flow is "dining with Kings and Queens". [3]

Mordechai Werdyger is an American Israeli Chasidic Jewish singer and songwriter who is popular in the Orthodox Jewish community. He is the son of cantor David Werdyger and uses the stage name Mordechai Ben David or its initials, MBD. He is known as the "King of Jewish Music" and has released over 40 albums while performing internationally. He headlined the HASC and Ohel charity concerts for years. On February 27, 2022, he was inducted with the inaugural class of the Jewish Music Hall of Fame.

The song is a tribute to his mother, Afeni Shakur. In the song, Shakur details his childhood poverty and his mother's addiction to crack cocaine, but argues that his love and deep respect for his mother supersede bad memories. The song became his first top ten on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number nine. It also topped the Hot Rap Singles chart for five weeks. As of March 2021, the song is certified 3× Platinum by the RIAA.

Brian Mumba Kasoka Bwembya known professionally as B Flow, is a Zambian musician, media personality, humanitarian, philanthropist, social justice advocate, and founder of Music For Change. He served as Chairperson of the HIV/AIDS and Social Commentary (HASC) committee of the Zambia Association of Musicians (ZAM) from 2014 to 2017, before being elected to the position of Publicity Secretary in 2018. He is the global ambassador in the fight against HIV/AIDS for American organization AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) and also the first Zambian artist in the world to launch an album at a US Embassy. The event was sponsored by the United States government through the embassy. The stage name B Flow was inspired by people who loved his 'flow'. B Flow also took a new direction with his music, changing his genre to what is now known as “KaliDanceHall”. In November 2016, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) named B Flow as one of the 16 voices of activism against gender-based violence around the world.

The White House Passover Seder was an annual private dinner held at the White House on the Jewish holiday of Passover during the presidency of Barack Obama. Obama initiated it in 2009 for his family, staff members, friends, and their families. The gathering recited the Passover Haggadah, discussed the themes of the Passover Seder and their relation to current events, and partook of a holiday-themed meal. Obama hosted and attended the Seder each year from 2009 to 2016. It was the first Passover Seder to be conducted by a sitting U.S. president in the White House.
