Death Requisite is a heavy metal band from Sarasota, Florida, United States. The band describes their style as "blackened symphonic melodic technical death metal", or simply "extreme hybrid metal". [2] The band has played with Living Sacrifice, Extol, Zao, Norma Jean, and Sleeping Giant. [8] The band is signed to Rottweiler Records. [9]
Death Requisite is a melodic death metal band which originated in Sarasota, Florida. The band formed in 1999 and broke up 2005. In 2010, they re-formed. Since then they have released three EPs, Prophets of Doom, Second Death , and Threnody. In June 2016, the band signed to Rottweiler Records. [9] [10]
The band released their new album, Revisitation, on November 25, 2016, [11] through Rottweiler. [12] [13] The album was reviewed by notable musicians including Kevin Tubby of Broken Flesh, [14] Michael Cook of A Hill to Die Upon, and Kelly Shaefer of Atheist. [15] [16]
Bassist RTJ left the band 2016 and was unofficially replaced by Gabriel Blackmore, Dave Blackmore's son. [17] Vocalist Vincent St. James departed from the band in 2017. [18] The band later revealed that they were working with new material with Johanna Fincher on soprano vocals. [19] The band released a picture of them with former vocalist St. James, along with Blackmore and another man, revealing that the upcoming album would have five vocalists featured throughout.
On May 10, 2018, Rottweiler and the band released the artwork, the release date and title of the EP, known as Threnody, which launched on June 29, 2018.
The band's name is derived from a quote from Stanislaw Lec:

Soul Embraced is an American Christian melodic death metal band from Little Rock, Arkansas. It was originally a side project for Rocky Gray and David Sroczynski.
Frost Like Ashes is an American Christian black metal band that formed in Kansas City, Missouri in 2001. The band has released three EPs and a full-length album, Tophet, and their songs have appeared on three compilation albums. A Hill To Die Upon is an American blackened death metal band from the Monmouth-Galesburg area of Illinois, formed in 2004 by the brothers Adam and R. Michael Cook. The brothers initially founded the band as hardcore project, but eventually started listening to death and black metal, which led them to transform their band's sound. Over the years, various musicians have filled out the band's lineup, which currently consists of the Cook brothers and Nolan Osmond. Signed to Bombworks Records, A Hill to Die Upon has released five albums – Infinite Titanic Immortal in 2009, Omens in 2011, Holy Despair in 2014, Via Artis, Via Mortis in 2017, and The Black Nativity in 2023 - all to a positive critical reception. In 2013, the band also released a stand-alone single, "Manden med Leen". Musically, the band is compared primarily to Behemoth as well as Immortal, Naglfar, and Old Man's Child, all of which the brothers cite as among their major influences. The brothers are Christian, but they distance themselves from calling A Hill to Die Upon a Christian metal band. Lyrical themes include mythology, war, philosophy, and despair, with references drawn from the Bible and numerous literary works and authors.
Grave Robber is an American horror punk band from Fort Wayne, Indiana. The band started rehearsing in 2005. In 2006, Grave Robber released a vinyl EP, Love Hurts independently. Their first two studio albums, Be Afraid and Inner Sanctum, were released by Retroactive Records, correspondingly in 2008 and 2009. The subsequent three studio albums, Exhumed, You're All Gonna Die!, and Escaping The Grave were released by Rottweiler Records, correspondingly in 2010, 2011, and 2018. An EP, Straight To Hell was released in 2014. Rottweiler Records has acquired the rights to Be Afraid and Inner Sanctum, with plans to re-release in 2023.
Every Knee Shall Bow is an independent Christian metal band that consists of brothers guitarists Drew and Cole, bassist Shane, drummer DJ Wibblesman, and returning vocalist Chris Hull. The band's debut EP was mixed by Rocky Gray of Living Sacrifice, Evanescence, and Machina. The band was recommended in an interview with Gray and Jon Dunn of Soul Embraced about the local Arkansas metal scene. Their debut album was released on March 12, 2013.
