Death or Glory? is the 17th studio album by Roy Harper and was released in 1992 following the end of his nine-year relationship.
Harper's second marriage ended in 1992. A number of songs and spoken word tracks on Death or Glory? reflected Harper's emotional state at the time (though some were omitted from following re-releases). "She ran off with someone else," said Harper,"a violin player (Nigel Kennedy) I’d been working on an adaptation of Brahms Violin Concerto with. I was really traumatised by that. Anybody who’s been suddenly left like that will know it’s very,very traumatic. I managed to come out of it,but it took about five years. It was like a death,a loss,like being told your child’s been killed in a war. There’s no other way to describe it. When you go through that,it changes your life forever,there’s no point in not admitting it. I withdrew,retreated,became an exile". [1]
The overseas release of the original album contained a personal advertisement from the recently separated Harper seeking a companion.
The song "Evening Star" was written for (and performed at) the wedding of Robert Plant's daughter,Carmen,to Charlie Jones on 18 May 1991. [2]
A four-track CD single was released at the time of the album's release. The single contained the first three album tracks and an additional track,"The Methane Zone". Subsequent album re-releases now include this track.
In 1994 the album was reissued with different artwork,and a slightly altered track listing. In 1998 it was reissued again with another (third) album cover. This version was remastered,and two tracks ("Death or Glory?" and "The Fourth World") were partially re-recorded.

Helix is a Canadian hard rock and heavy metal band. They formed in 1974,and are best known for their 1984 single "Rock You". The original lineup was formed by drummer Bruce Arnold,and consisted of lead vocalist Brian Vollmer,guitarists Ron Watson and Rick "Minstrel" Trembley,keyboardist Don Simmons,and bassist Keith "Bert" Zurbrigg. However,their most well known lineup,and the one that recorded "Rock You",was the 1980s version of the band:Vollmer on vocals,accompanied by guitarists Brent "The Doctor" Doerner and Paul Hackman,bassist Daryl Gray,and drummer Greg "Fritz" Hinz. The history of the band has been marked by many lineup changes,with Vollmer being the sole constant member and only remaining member of the original lineup. Although Hackman was killed in a tour bus accident in 1992,the surviving members of the 1980s lineup reunited in 2009 for an album and have continued to tour since 2011. Watson died in 2019. Simmons died in 2021.

Storm of the Light's Bane is the second full-length album by Swedish black metal band Dissection. It was released on 17 November 1995 by Nuclear Blast. This would be the band's last full-length album before frontman Jon Nödtveidt's 1997 incarceration for the felony murder of Josef ben Meddour. It would not be until 2006 that they would release their third and final album Reinkaos,which was followed by the breakup of the band and Nödtveidt's suicide shortly after. As with the band's debut album,Kristian 'Necrolord' Wåhlin created the artwork.
"Running Free" is the debut single by Iron Maiden,released on 8 February 1980 on the 7" 45 rpm vinyl record format. It was written by Steve Harris and Paul Di'Anno. The song appears as the third track on the band's debut album Iron Maiden. In 1985,a live version of the song was released as the first single from Live After Death. In 1990,the original single was reissued on CD and 12" vinyl as part of The First Ten Years box,in which it was combined with the band's next single,"Sanctuary". The 1985 live single was also released as part of this box set,combined with 1985's "Run to the Hills".
Under Jolly Roger is the third studio album by German heavy metal band Running Wild. It marked a stylistic turning point in which the group dropped the Satanic imagery they had previously used and adopted the pirate theme they would become known for,creating and influencing the later named pirate metal subgenre of heavy metal in the 2000s in the process. The album's title comes from the famous Jolly Roger,the flag used by pirates to identify their ships.

Lyrics often use piratical jargon and various musical genres,such as thrash metal,speed metal,and folk metal,may be combined with traditional-sounding songs like sea shanties. Folk instruments,such as the concertina,can be incorporated or emulated with synthesizers. Band members often dress up in period costume during performances,and concert attendees may do so as well. 20 Years in History is the fourth compilation by German heavy metal band Running Wild. It is a chronological account of the band with two tracks from every album up to and including The Brotherhood. The song "Prowling Werewolf" was formerly available on the Heavy Metal Like a Hammerblow demo. "Apocalyptic Horsemen" was previously unreleased.
Riding the Storm is a compilation album from the band Running Wild. The album was released on May 20,2016,by Noise Records as a 2-CD set with a total of 32 songs. The compilation features material from the albums Gates to Purgatory right up to Masquerade while the band was signed to Noise Records.
