Deception is a Ugandan drama television series developed by Edris Matu Segawa and directed by George Kihumbah. The series ran on NTV Uganda for eight seasons from 2013 to 2016. [1] [2] The series won a number of awards including 2014 RTV Awards for Best TV Drama of the year, 2015 RTV Awards as Best TV Drama of the year and 2016 Uganda Entertainment Award for Best TV Series.
During its first season the show had a running time of 30 minutes and then was extended to 45 minutes for the rest of its season. Airing every Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm.
Deception became one of the most popular TV drama series in Uganda and the second attempt at TV shows by NTV Uganda after 2009's KAKIBEKI (what come may!). The show aired its last season in 2016 after a revered 8 season and three-year run.
Monica and Chris Nsereko are a young happily married couple. Life is good, until Monica's mother in law decides to move in with them, demanding for a grandchild.
The happy couple is dropped in a hole of scandal as the mischievous mother in law pulls every known trick to either get Monica pregnant or throw her out! [3] [4] Monica tries to play civil and tolerate her mother in law monster but continuously encouraged by her close friend Lillian to retaliate and save her marriage. Meanwhile, Monica had gotten a miscarriage before and believes that she might be barren and not able to give Chris any children. The show focuses on family life and how intervention by in-laws can destroy and break a marriage. Along the way, Monica is forced to face impossible choices and keep dangerous secrets to save her marriage. As one lie is told to keep another true, Monica and Chris must find a way to rediscover their love.

She presents a mid-morning radio show on 91.3 Capital FM radio in Kampala, a former co-host of Morning @ NTV on NTV Uganda where she also doubles as a news anchor on NTV Tonight news and is a VJ for Channel O. She played the role of Kamali Tenywa in Nana Kagga's television series, Beneath The Lies - The Series from 2014 to 2016 and has co-hosted the Guinness Football Challenge.
Beneath The Lies is a Ugandan television drama-mystery series created by Nana Kagga Macpherson and starring Flavia Tumusiime, Natasha Sinayobye, Gaetano Kagwa, Hellen Lukoma, Rabadaba, Deedan Muyira, Cedric Babu Ndilima, Patrick Salvado Idringi and Susan Naava as regular cast members. The Coffee Shop is a Ugandan drama television series written by Patricia Achiro Olwoch directed by Mukeera Dennis Josiah. The first season of the series premiered on Urban TV Uganda on 1 December 2015 and aired Sundays at 7 pm. The series second season premiered on Urban TV Uganda on 8 January 2017. The series was awarded Best TV Series 2016 at UFF2016.
Anita Kyarimpa better known as Anita Fabiola is a Ugandan actress, tourism ambassador, Event host, business woman, and former beauty queen. In February 2019 she was appointed as a Goodwill Tourism ambassador headlining the "Tulambule" campaign in liaison with the Uganda Tourism Board to promote tourism all over Uganda. Prior to hosting the Be my date show on NTV in 2014, Fabiola became Miss Uganda West and the first runner-up in the overall Miss Uganda beauty pageant in 2013. She is also known for hosting some of the Africa's biggest red carpet events. These include Africa Magic Viewer's Choice Awards in Nigeria (2016), Namibia Annual Music Awards, Ghana Movie Awards 2017, Ghana Music Awards 2016, Glitz Awards Ghana 2017, Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards 2016 among others.
The Hostel is a Ugandan drama series created by Sabiiti "MMC" Moses and Emanuel "BUUBA" Egwel about the lives of university students in their hostels. The show premiered on NTV Uganda in 2011 and ran for four seasons. The fourth season which was titled Serenity saw a fresh new cast and in a new hostel. The season premiered on 23 February 2015.
