Delisle, Ohio

Delisle is an unincorporated community in Darke County, in the U.S. state of Ohio. [1]

History

Delisle was platted by Catherine Fairchild[ citation needed ] in 1850 when the railroad was extended to that point. [2] Delisle also had a schoolhouse until 1951, at which time students began attending schools in nearby Arcanum. [3] A post office was established at Delisle in 1856, and remained in operation until 1993. [4]
