The 1960 Winter Olympics, officially known as the VIII Olympic Winter Games, was a winter multi-sport event held between February 18–28, 1960 in Squaw Valley, California, United States.
The 1980 Winter Olympics, officially known as the XIII Olympic Winter Games, were a winter multi-sport event held in Lake Placid, New York, United States, from February 13 to February 24. A total of 1,072 athletes from 37 nations participated in 38 events from 10 different sports.
Judith Ann Blumberg is an American former competitive ice dancer. With Michael Seibert, she is a three-time World bronze medalist (1983–85), the 1980 Skate Canada International champion, the 1981 Skate America champion, and a five-time U.S. national champion (1981–85).
James Joseph Donahue was an American athlete who competed mainly in the pentathlon. He competed in the pentathlon for the United States team during the 1912 Summer Olympics held in Stockholm, Sweden where he won the bronze medal. On winner Jim Thorpe's subsequent disqualification for professionalism in 1913, Donahue was declared vice-champion. In 1982 Thorpe was reinstated as champion by the IOC; however, Donahue was still to be considered vice-champion.
Andrea Mead Lawrence was an American alpine ski racer. She competed in three Winter Olympics and was the first American alpine skier to win two Olympic gold medals.

Finland was also the host nation for the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki. Finnish athletes have won a total of 302 medals at the Summer Games, mostly in athletics and wrestling. Finland has also won 162 medals at the Winter Games, mostly in nordic skiing events.

Albania normally competes in events that include swimming, athletics, weightlifting, shooting and wrestling. The country has not yet won an Olympic medal, and along with Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is the only European non-microstate without an Olympic medal. They have been represented by the Albanian National Olympic Committee since 1972.
Claire Christine Donahue is an American competition swimmer. She won two gold medals at the 2011 Pan American Games and finished second at the 2011 National Championships in the 100-meter butterfly. She earned a gold medal for swimming in the preliminary heats of the 4×100-meter medley relay at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
