Dennis Shaver is the current track and field coach at Louisiana State University. Shaver came to LSU in 1995 as an assistant coach. Since his arrival, he has coached 22 Olympians, 6 Olympic medalists, 411 All-Americans, 39 individual National Champions, 49 NCAA event titles and 19 national championship relay teams. [1]
He began his college coaching career at Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, Kansas, in 1981 as an assistant football and track coach. In 1982, he became the head coach for the track team at Hutchinson Community College. He left Hutchinson in 1985 to become the head track coach at Barton Community College, where he had tremendous success. During his last year there, he became the first coach to ever win the NJCAA "triple crown" winning the cross-country, indoor, and outdoor titles. After Barton, Shaver became an assistant at Auburn University for the next three years before arriving in Baton Rouge in 1995 as an assistant coach. In 2004, he replaced Pat Henry as head track and field coach. [2]

He graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1979 with a bachelor's degree in physical education. He later earned a master's degree in education administration from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1981. [1]
Muna Lee is an American sprinter. Lee ran track collegiately at Louisiana State University. Lee was a seven-time NCAA champion, 12-time SEC champion and 20-time All-American with the Lady Tigers from 2001 to 2004.

Bernie Hawthorne Moore was an American college football, basketball, track and field coach and college athletics administrator. He served as the head football coach at Mercer University (1926–1928) and Louisiana State University (LSU) (1935–1947). Moore was also the head basketball coach at Mercer (1926–1928) and the head track and field coach at LSU (1930–1947). He was then SEC commissioner from 1948 to 1966. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1952.

Dan Arnold Killian was an American college football and college baseball coach. He served as the head football coach at Louisiana State University (LSU) from 1904 to 1906, compiling a record of 8–6–2. Killian was also the head coach of the LSU baseball team from 1905 to 1906, as well as head coach of the LSU Tigers track and field team from 1905 to 1906. He also served as athletic director.

Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field is a baseball stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It is the home stadium of the Louisiana State University Tigers baseball team. The stadium section were named for Simeon Alex Box, an LSU letterman (1942), Purple Heart and Distinguished Service Cross recipient, who was killed in North Africa during World War II. On May 17, 2013, prior to a game against Ole Miss, the field was named and dedicated in honor of former LSU head baseball coach and athletic director Skip Bertman.

D'Andre "DeeDee" Hill is an American track and field coach and former athlete. She competed in sprint events, mainly in 100-meter dash. Her personal record in the event was 10.92 seconds. She represented her country over 100 m at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and shared in a gold medal in the 4×100-meter relay at the 1995 World Championships in Athletics, having run in the heats only.
