Detective Investigation Files is a 1995 Hong Kong crime investigation drama series produced by Poon Ka Tak for TVB and is the first installment in the Detective Investigation Files Series. The main characters were played by Michael Tao, Joey Leung, Kenix Kwok and Louisa So. This installment featured five different cases. In 2022, the drama was selected as one of ten classic TVB dramas being honoured for Youku and TVB's new programme. [1]

Synopsis

Cops Yung (Michael Tao) and Yee (Leung Wing Chung) were good friends as well as partners. Their shrewdness and intelligence helped break many mysterious murder cases such as ‘Love Suicide’, ‘Chopped Corpse’, ‘Murderer Vs Victim’.

Yung and Yee shared their worries over love too. Yung's girlfriend Chi (Kwan Po Wai) jilted Yung to go after Yee when she learned about Yee's wealth. Yung, on the other hand, met the headstrong reporter Chit (Kenix Kwok) during an investigation and they fall for each other. However, Chit already had a boyfriend...

Michael Tao, Joey Leung, Kenix Kwok and Louisa So reprise their roles from the original series, along with new cast members Amy Kwok, Joseph Lee and Sammi Cheng. This series featured twelve cases.

Detective Investigation Files III is a 1997 TVB production. It was a direct sequel to Detective Investigation Files II and the third installment in the Detective Investigation Files Series. The series ran for 40 episodes. Only Michael Tao, Joey Leung and Kenix Kwok returned to reprise their roles from the previous two installments. Louisa So, Amy Kwok, Joseph Lee and Sammi Cheng did not participate in this series; instead they were replaced by Margaret Chung, Law Koon Lan, Liu Kai-chi, Monica Chan and Winnie Yeung who portrayed new characters. This installment featured 10 cases.

<i>Line Walker</i> Hong Kong TV series

Line Walker is a 2014 Hong Kong crime thriller drama produced by TVB, starring Michael Miu, Charmaine Sheh and Raymond Lam as the main leads, with Sharon Chan, Benz Hui, Elena Kong, Sammy Sum, Oscar Leung and Toby Leung in major supporting roles. It is the first entry in the franchise.
