Dheekshith Shetty is an Indian film and television actor who predominantly works in Kannada and Telugu films. He started his career through the TV show Preethi Endarenu. He made his feature film debut in K. S. Ashoka's 2020 film Dia , for which he was nominated for best supporting actor (Kannada) by SIIMA.

Kannada cinema, also known as Sandalwood, or Chandanavana, is the segment of Indian cinema dedicated to the production of motion pictures in the Kannada language widely spoken in the state of Karnataka. Nani is an Indian actor, producer and television presenter who works predominantly in Telugu cinema and appears in a few Tamil language films. He made his acting debut with Mohana Krishna Indraganti's 2008 comedy film Ashta Chamma, an Indian adaptation of Oscar Wilde's play The Importance of Being Earnest. After Ashta Chamma's commercial success, Nani played the lead roles in three Telugu films in the next two years: Ride (2009), Snehituda (2009) and Bheemili Kabaddi Jattu (2010). In 2011, Nani collaborated with B. V. Nandini Reddy on the romantic comedy film Ala Modalaindi which was profitable. The same year, he made his Tamil cinema debut with Anjana Ali Khan's Veppam, a crime drama set in the backdrop of North Chennai. The following year, Nani collaborated with S. S. Rajamouli and Gautham Vasudev Menon on the Telugu-Tamil bilingual Eega and the romance film Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu respectively. The former, which was about a murdered man reincarnating as a housefly and avenging his death, earned Nani an award in the Best Hero category at the 2013 Toronto After Dark Film Festival. Dia is a 2020 Indian Kannada-language romantic drama film written and directed by K. S. Ashoka, and produced by D Krishna Chaitanya under Sri Swarnalatha Productions. The film stars Kushee Ravi, Pruthvi Ambaar and Dheekshith Shetty, with a score by B. Ajaneesh Loknath. It was released in India on 7 February 2020. The film was a box office success and was re-released in 2021.

K. S. Ashoka known as Ashoka is an Indian director and writer. He became popular after his debut movie 6-5=2. It was the first found footage movie in Kannada. With the success of 6-5=2, the movie was remade in Hindi with same title and released in 2014 by different director. In Telugu, it was dubbed and released as Chitram Kadu Nizam. K S Ashoka directed a second movie, Dia, which was critically acclaimed and commercially successful.

Shyam Singha Roy is a 2021 Indian Telugu-language period romantic drama film directed by Rahul Sankrityan. Partly set in the backdrop of Kolkata in the 1970s, it is based on the theme of reincarnation. The film stars Nani in a dual role with Sai Pallavi played a prominent female lead role. The film tells the story of Vasu, an aspiring director who is blamed for plagiarism, as he starts to experience visions of his previous life as Shyam Singha Roy, a fierce Bengali social reformer. The film also stars with an ensemble supporting cast includes Krithi Shetty, Madonna Sebastian, Rahul Ravindran, Abhinav Gomatam, Jisshu Sengupta, Murali Sharma, Manish Wadhwa and others.

Sushmitha Ravi, known as Kushee Ravi, is an Indian actress who works in Kannada and Telugu-language films. Kushee made her debut with the Kannada film Dia (2020).

Dasara (transl. Vijayadasami) is a 2023 Indian Telugu-language period action drama film directed by Srikanth Odela and produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri. It stars an ensemble cast of Nani, Keerthy Suresh, Dheekshith Shetty, Shine Tom Chacko, Samuthirakani, P. Sai Kumar and Shamna Kasim. The film marks the directorial debut of Odela and Chacko's acting debut in Telugu cinema. Santhosh Narayanan composed the soundtrack and background score, while the cinematography and editing were composed by Sathyan Sooryan and Naveen Nooli.
