Diddy TV is a British children's sketch comedy series on CBBC. It stars Richard McCourt and Dominic Wood (Dick and Dom). It is a sequel series to the Diddy Dick and Dom sketches on Dick & Dom in da Bungalow and Diddy Movies . The series features various parodies of television series including Top of the Pops and The Great British Bake Off . Series 1 began on 14 March 2016, Series 2 began on 20 June 2016, Series 3 began on 19 March 2018 and Seriees 4 began on 25 June 2018. [2] Many of the cast have been in other Dick and Dom sketch series or the sitcom The Legend of Dick and Dom .

Premise

The Diddy Movies boss, Larry Bingbongberger, was bankrupted because his movies were a disaster. But with the last of his money, he quits making movies and launches a television station for Diddy Dick and Dom on channel 6597423. It is filled with crazy and silly entertainment, sports and parodies shows like Diddy Doctor Who, Diddy Pops, Deadly Diddy 60, Diddydown and even an American sitcom RoboPop as well as adverts, most of them starring Dick and Dom.

The guest stars often appear between the sketches with Larry Bingbongberger in his house. Some episodes have Dick and Dom in Da Bungalow character, Mr. Choosy. Guests play Diddy versions of themselves (except Reece Shearsmith). In Series 3, new guest stars appear with Diddy Dick and Dom on Diddy Chat. Some guests appear in more than one episode.

Series 3 started on 19 March 2018 and ended on 31 March 2018. Series 4 started on 25 June 2018 and ended on 5 July 2018.

<i>Inside No. 9</i> BBC TV dark comedy series

Inside No. 9 is a British black comedy anthology television programme written and created by Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith. It aired on BBC Two from 5 February 2014 to 12 June 2024, running for 9 series and 55 episodes. Each 30-minute episode is a self-contained story with new characters and a new setting, almost all starring Pemberton or Shearsmith. Aside from the writers, each episode has a new cast, allowing Inside No. 9 to attract a number of well-known actors. The stories are linked only by a setting related to the number 9 in some way, and a brass hare statue that is hidden in all episodes. Themes and tone vary from episode to episode, but all have elements of comedy and horror or perverse humour, in addition to a plot twist.

"A Quiet Night In" is the second episode of the British dark comedy television anthology series Inside No. 9. It first aired on 12 February 2014 on BBC Two. Written by Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton, it stars the writers as a pair of hapless burglars attempting to break into the large, modernist house of a couple—played by Denis Lawson and Oona Chaplin—to steal a painting. Once the burglars make it into the house, they encounter obstacle after obstacle, while the lovers, unaware of the burglars' presence, argue. The episode progresses almost entirely without dialogue, relying instead on physical comedy and slapstick, though more sinister elements are present in the plot. In addition to Pemberton, Shearsmith, Lawson and Chaplin, "A Quiet Night In" also starred Joyce Veheary and Kayvan Novak.

"The Trial of Elizabeth Gadge" is the third episode of the second series of the British dark comedy anthology television programme Inside No. 9. It was written by Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton, and directed by Dan Zeff. It first aired on 9 April 2015 on BBC Two. The story follows a 17th-century witch trial. Elizabeth Gadge, played by Ruth Sheen, stands accused of witchcraft by inhabitants of the village of Little Happens, including characters played by Sinead Matthews, Jim Howick, Paul Kaye and Trevor Cooper. The magistrate Sir Andrew Pike, played by David Warner, has summoned the famed witch-finders Mr Warren and Mr Clarke, played by Shearsmith and Pemberton, to try Elizabeth, but is more concerned with bringing visitors to the village than finding the truth.

<i>Horrible Histories</i> (2015 TV series) British sketch comedy childrens television series

Horrible Histories started on CBBC in 2009. It is a multi-award-winning live-action historical and musical sketch comedy television series, based on the bestselling book series of the same name by Terry Deary. Over 11 series there have been changes in format and cast, but the core aim has remained the same - to entertain and educate. The show is produced for CBBC by Lion Television and was in association with Citrus Television for series 3-5.

Diddy Movies is a British children's comedy series on CBBC. It stars Richard McCourt, Dominic Wood and Ted Robbins. It is a sequel series to the Diddy Dick and Dom sketches on Dick & Dom in da Bungalow. The series features fictional blockbuster movies headlined by the duo of Dick and Dom. Series 1 began on 19 March 2012, a Christmas special was aired on 19 December 2013 and Series 2 began on 4 March 2014. Many of the cast have been in other Dick and Dom sketch series or the sitcom The Legend of Dick and Dom.
