Dinah Soar was created by John Byrne, and first appeared in West Coast Avengers vol. 2 #46 (July 1989).

Fictional character biography

Dinah Soar is a humanoid pterosaur from the Savage Land of unknown origin and a founding member of the Great Lakes Avengers. [2] [3] She is a lover of team leader Mr. Immortal who can calm the rage he suffers after resurrecting. [4] However, she is unable to speak English and primarily communicates with chirps. [5]

Dinah is later killed by Maelstrom, and comes to reside in a limbo-like afterlife with other deceased GLA members. [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] [12] [13] [14]

Powers and abilities

Dinah Soar possesses a pterosaur-like physiology that enables her to fly at high speeds. She has a hypersonic voice that allows her to project inaudible sound waves, as well as an empathic rapport capable of calming Mr. Immortal after he resurrects. [6] [7] [15] [16]
