The Minor Basilica and Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Saint Paul of the Cross is a Roman Catholic minor basilica in Marikina, Metro Manila, Philippines.
The Diocesan Shrine of Saint Paul of the Cross was established as a parish in 1975. It was run by the Passionist priests until it was turned over to the Diocese of Antipolo in 2004. [1]
It was elevated to a diocesan shrine on March 19, 2021. [2]
It was elevated to a minor basilica on May 13, 2025 by Pope Leo XIV at the request of Antipolo bishop Ruperto Cruz Santos filed in December 2024. [1]
The church is the oldest in the Philippines to be dedicated to the Catholic saint, Paul of the Cross. [3] The church is also the host of the pontifically crowned image of the Nuestra Señora de Fatima de Marikina, which was pontifically crowned by Pope Francis in 2024. [1]
