Dirk Stettner (born August 24, 1969) is a German entrepreneur and politician (CDU).
Stettner completed high school in Siegen. He then spent a year in the press and information office of the city and then completed his military service in Wetzlar. He then spent three years as a staff member in the German parliament Bundestag and began a part-time study of history, law and politics at the University of Bonn. In 1994 he moved to Berlin, where he took up a part-time study of political science at the Free University of Berlin. [1] Stettner is married and has three children. [2]
Stettner is a partner and managing director of the "Stettner + Stettner GmbH" for real estate development, planning and design. He is also a member of the supervisory board for the real estate services company "GW-C Grundwert Consult AG". [1] Furthermore, Stettner founded a non-profit sheltered workshop in 2004/05 under the name "Wisowerk gGmbH" as well as a non-profit corporation, "Wisowerk gAG", the purpose of which was the integration of people with disabilities into the labor market. In addition to his professional activities, Stettner began to become politically active. He became a member of the CDU and was elected district chairmen of the CDU Pankow in 2005. [6] [7] In 2006, allegations were made that in his capacity as an entrepreneur he had inflated invoices and cheated a contractor of a larger amount of money within the context of the insolvency of one of his companies. Stettner dismissed the accusations, [8] but still stepped down from his position as district chairman. In 2011 he stood as a candidate in the Berlin state election and was elected on the Pankow district list. From October 2011 to January 2012 he was a member of the CDU parliamentary group. [1]
On 28 January 2012, Stettner stepped down from the parliamentary group after the Berlin public prosecutor's office filed charges against him for suspicion of fraud, insolvency protraction, and wrongful withholding of social services. [9] The investigation included Stettner's office as director of Wisowerk in the years 2005 and 2006. [10] In May 2012, the case was heard by the Tiergarten District Court. [11] Stettner was found guilty of subsidy fraud, insolvency protraction, and the withholding of social security contributions and sentenced to one year probation. [12] Stettner appealed the judgment. [13] The appeal proceedings before the Berlin Regional Court were concluded in mid-2015 and Stettner was ordered to pay €36,000, after which he resumed activity in the CDU parliamentary group on June 23, 2015. [14]
Throughout the proceedings, Stettner remained a non-attached member of the Berlin House of Representatives. [15] He is now a member of the Committee on Digital Management, Data Protection and Freedom of Information, as well as in the Subcommittee on Investment Management and Controlling. [16] In January 2015 Stettner was re-elected as chairman of the CDU Weissensee. [17]
Stettner is chairman of the "Verein für Weißensee" [18] and the "Verein Siedlung Rennbahn Berlin-Weißensee," [19] which are both charitable organizations.
Pankow is the most populous and the second-largest borough by area of Berlin. In Berlin's 2001 administrative reform, it was merged with the former boroughs of Prenzlauer Berg and Weißensee; the resulting borough retained the name Pankow. Pankow was sometimes claimed by the Western Allies to be the capital of the German Democratic Republic, while the German Democratic Republic itself considered East Berlin to be its capital.

Weißensee is a quarter in the borough of Pankow in Berlin, Germany, that takes its name from the small lake Weißer See within it. Before Berlin's 2001 administrative reform, Weißensee was a borough in its own right, consisting of the quarters of Weißensee, Heinersdorf, Blankenburg, Karow, and Stadtrandsiedlung Malchow. A fictional German-language TV series by the same name is set in the borough between 1980 and 1990 during the communist era.

The Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark is a multi-purpose sports complex located in the western part of the locality of Prenzlauer Berg in the borough of Pankow in Berlin. The sports complex covers an area of approximately 22 hectares and comprises several facilities. The main building is the Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Stadion. The stadium is the third-largest stadium in Berlin, after the Olympiastadion and the Stadion An der Alten Försterei, with a capacity of approximately 20,000 seats, of which 15,000 are covered. Currently, the main tenants of the stadium are VSG Altglienicke and Berlin Thunder. Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark was the venue for the 2018 World Para Athletics European Championships.
The unbuilt U10 line, of the Berlin U-Bahn, was part of a planned "200-km-plan" extension of the Berlin U-Bahn from 1953–55. It would have been a large-profile (Großprofil) metro line running from Falkenberg, in the northeastern part of the city, to Alexanderplatz, and down to Steglitz before terminating at Drakestraße in Lichterfelde. The designated letter name of the line was "F" until 1 July 1972, when it was changed to "Line 10". Because a number of tunnels and stations were constructed to accommodate the proposed line with elements visible at transfer stations and elsewhere, the line is popularly known as the "Phantomlinie".

The 1989–90 season was tumultuous for BFC Dynamo. The East German regime faltered and parts of the Berlin Wall were opened on 9 November 1989. Forward Andreas Thom became the first player in the DDR-Oberliga to leave for the West German Bundesliga. The dismantling of the champion team from the 1980s was now well underway. The Stasi was dissolved and the club thus lost a major sponsor. The East German Ministry of the Interior declared that it was only prepared to support the club until the end of the 1989–90 season. The club changed its name to FC Berlin on 19 February 1990, in an attempt to distance the club from the Stasi. The number of spectators dropped drastically. FC Berlin finished the 1989-90 DDR-Oberliga in fourth place and failed for the first time to qualify for a European competition. Also Thomas Doll, Frank Rohde and Rainer Ernst left for the Bundesliga after the season.
BFC Dynamo finished the 2003–04 Verbandsliga Berlin in first place and won promotion back to the NOFV-Oberliga Nord. Mario Weinkauf was elected as the new club president on 18 June 2004. His vision was a club that was "managed seriously from a sporting and financial perspective". Former professional player Christian Backs became the new coach for the 2004–05 season. Rajko Fijalek served as assistant coach and former professional goalkeeper Bodo Rudwaleit as goalkeeping coach. Central players in the team were Robert Rudwaleit, Nico Thomaschewski, Dennis Kutrieb, Jörn Lenz and Danny Kukulies. BFC Dynamo finished is first season in the NOFV-Oberliga Nord, since returning from the insolvency crisis, in sixth place.
