The city of La Paz, Bolivia is divided into seven main districts, called "Macro Distritos", which at the same time are divided into 21 small districts or zones.^[1] The city is commonly divided by the people into three main zones: South Zone, Central Zone and North Zone.

La Paz, officially known as Nuestra Señora de La Paz, also named Chuqi Yapu (Chuquiago) in Aymara, is the seat of government and the de facto national capital of the Plurinational State of Bolivia. With an estimated 789,541 residents as of 2015, La Paz is the third-most populous city in Bolivia. Its metropolitan area, which is formed by La Paz, El Alto and Viacha, makes up the most populous urban area in Bolivia, with a population of 2.3 million. It is also the capital of the La Paz Department.

Bolivia, officially the Plurinational State of Bolivia, is a landlocked country located in western-central South America. The capital is Sucre, while the seat of government and financial center is located in La Paz. The largest city and principal industrial center is Santa Cruz de la Sierra, located on the Llanos Orientales, a mostly flat region in the east of the country.

Main neighborhoods and zones

San Jorge:, located on the 7th District (Cotahuma) and near Sopocachi, it is one of the main residential and diplomatic areas of the city. In contains several buildings, both residential and offices, and embassies, including the Spain Embassy, the United States Embassy, the United Kingdom Embassy and others. One of the main avenues of the city, Arce Avenue, starts on this zone.
Sopocachi:, located on the 7th District (Cotahuma), Sopocachi is probably one of the oldest residential neighborhoods, located 10 minutes away from the center of the city. Despite the expansion and development of the area, this quarter maintained its residential property. In the last years, there has been an important commercial expansion, mainly on the surroundings of Abaroa Square, one of the many squares and parks of the zone.
San Pedro:, located on the 7th District (Cotahuma), on the right bank of the Choqueyapu River and built around the "Plaza de San Pedro" (official name: Plaza Sucre, Sucre Square), is home to numerous shops, businesses and small enterprises, especially printing, spare parts and auto maintenance and repair shops. San Pedro's "Rodriguez Market" remains as one of the most middle-class popular and oldest of the city. The San Pedro prison is located here.
Centro: (Downtown) is located on the 6th District and comprises the center of La Paz and principal avenues of the city, like Arce Avenue, July 16 Avenue (also known as "Prado Avenue"), Mariscal Santa Cruz Avenue and Camacho Avenue, this last one being the home of the headquarters of the principal banks and companies of the country.
Casco Viejo:, located on the 6th District, is the historic and ancient center of La Paz. It now houses museums, hotels, shops and buildings as the Mayor City of La Paz and the Central Bank of Bolivia. In the Old Quarter is the Plaza Murillo, which is home to the Government Palace and the National Congress.
Miraflores:, located on the 6th District, Miraflores district is separated from downtown by a long barrel (called Parque Urbano Central, Central Urban Park) and connected by the Bridge of the Americas and two avenues. Originally a residential zone, its growth has led it to become a major recreational center. It houses universities (including the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés's faculty of medicine), hospitals and the Estadio Hernando Siles(capacity of 45,000 people).
Northern District:, located on the 4th and 5th districts, it has a significant industrial activity (mainly food), being the Cervecería Boliviana Nacional (Bolivian National Brewery) the most significant industry founded by Germans, and one of the city's biggest companies in the country. It connects La Paz with the city of El Alto by the "autopista"or Highway.
Southern District:, located on the 2nd district has less height than the rest of La Paz (3,200 to 2,800 meters). This area houses the most affluent business and the richest neighborhoods of the city, like Calacoto, La Florida and Achumani, among others. It has benefited from steady economic growth and is now the second commercial and financial center of the city, housing international firms like Moody's, Citibank, Aon Corporation, Huawei, Millicom International Cellular, Pan American Silver Corporation, a Sumitomo Corporation branch, Ernst & Young, and the "MegaCenter", Bolivia's biggest shopping mall (52,000 m² of construction).

A diplomatic mission or foreign mission is a group of people from one state or an organisation present in another state to represent the sending state/organisation officially in the receiving state. In practice, the phrase diplomatic mission usually denotes the resident mission, namely the embassy, which is the main office of a country's diplomatic representatives to another country; this is usually, but not necessarily, in the receiving state's capital city. Consulates, on the other hand, are smaller diplomatic missions which are normally located in major cities of the receiving state. As well as being a diplomatic mission to the country in which it is situated, it may also be a non-resident permanent mission to one or more other countries. There are thus resident and non-resident embassies.

Most of the country is located contiguously in North America between Canada and Mexico.

Surquillo District is a district in Lima, Peru. It is bordered by the districts of San Isidro and San Borja on the north; by Miraflores on the south and west; and by Santiago de Surco on the east.

Villa de San Antonio is a municipality in the Honduran department of Comayagua.

Jesús María District, Lima District in Lima, Peru

Jesús María is one of the most centrally located districts of Lima, Peru. It is a middle-class, high density district and it usually ranks in the top districts with the best quality of life in Lima with an HDI of 0.770 (2005), only behind the districts of San Isidro and Miraflores.

Santa Fe is one of Mexico City's major business districts, located in the west part of the city in the alcaldías (boroughs) of Cuajimalpa and Álvaro Obregón. The Paseo de la Reforma avenue and Constituyentes avenue are the primary means of access to the district from the central part of Mexico City. Santa Fe consists mainly of highrise buildings surrounding a large shopping mall, Centro Santa Fe, which is currently the largest mall in Latin America. The district also includes a residential area and three university campuses, among other facilities.The Toluca–Mexico City commuter rail, due to open in 2020, will also improve mobility and development in the district.

Municipalities in Bolivia are administrative divisions of the entire national territory governed by local elections. Municipalities are the third level of administrative divisions, below departments and provinces. Some of the provinces consist of only one municipality. In these cases the municipalities are identical to the provinces they belong to.

Calacoto or Qalaqutu is a neighborhood in La Paz, Bolivia. It is located in the southern part of the city. It is considered one of the biggest residential zones due of the cost of the houses and the services available. The population in this neighborhood has a medium to high income level on average. The zone is located about 15 kilometers from downtown. Calacoto is located in the central zone of the Zona Sur which is considered the biggest residential area in the country along with Santa Cruz’s Equipetrol and Cochabamba’s Cala Cala.

Madrid, the capital city of Spain, is divided into 21 districts (distritos), which are further subdivided into 128 administrative wards (barrios). Additional neighborhoods exist outside the boundaries of administrative borders.

Consaca Municipality and town in Nariño Department, Colombia

Consaca is a town and municipality in the Nariño Department, Colombia. It is a town and municipality of Nariño Colombia, and has 12.639 inhabitants. Consaca is located near the Galeras Volcano and is 54 Kilometers away by car from the city San Juan de Pasto. Consaca is known by the name "Historical corner of Colombia".

San Pedro de la Paz is a Chilean city and commune located in the Concepción Province, Biobío Region. It has some 80,447 inhabitants according to the 2002 national census. In 2005, the Pedro Aguirre Cerda avenue, the main avenue in the city, was completed. Most of the inhabitants of this comuna commute daily to Concepción - either by car, bus or train - over the Biobío River. It is considered to be part of Greater Concepción conurbation.

Sopocachi is a neighborhood in La Paz, Bolivia. Funded during the republican stage. Sopocachi can be described as a bohemian artistic neighborhood. It is located in the central part of the city, and is part of the Cotahuma district. Sopocachi is mainly a residential area, being one of the biggest residential districts of the city, along with Calacoto. Some of the city's largest buildings are located there. The Plaza Abaroa, Plaza España, two medium-size important squares, and the Montículo, a big hill with monumental areas, are located in Sopocachi. The architecture includes both modern and 1800s designs. The nightlife is bustling with bars, pubs, and discos all around the area. Various genres of music blast from these places. Monticulo Park is also located here. You can view the Illimani Mountain and the beautiful views of the city from here. A carved stone gate marks the entrance to the park which has been there since the 1770s.

Canas Urbano is one of the 31 barrios of the municipality of Ponce, Puerto Rico. Along with Machuelo Abajo, Magueyes Urbano, Portugués Urbano, and San Antón, Canas Urbano is one of the municipality's five originally rural barrios that are now also part of the urban zone of the city of Ponce. The name of this barrio is of native indigenous origin. It was created in 1953.

Seville, the capital of the region of Andalusia in Spain, has 11 districts, further divided into 108 neighbourhoods.

San Pedro de los Pinos is a neighborhood located in center-west of Mexico City. Before being urbanized during the first half of the 20th century, the colonia was part of a vast farming area belonging to several ranches and haciendas.
