Vantaa is a city and municipality in Finland. It is part of the inner core of the Finnish Capital Region along with Helsinki, Espoo, and Kauniainen. With a population of 239,216, Vantaa is the fourth most populated city in Finland after Helsinki, Espoo and Tampere. Its administrative center is the Tikkurila district. Vantaa is bordered by Helsinki, the Finnish capital, to the south; Espoo to the southwest; Nurmijärvi to the northwest; Kerava and Tuusula to the north; and Sipoo to the east. The city encompasses 240.35 square kilometres (92.80 sq mi), of which 1.97 km2 (0.76 sq mi) is water.

Hämevaara is a city district of the municipality of Vantaa, Finland. It is located in western Vantaa, near the border of the municipality of Espoo. The district has an area of roughly one square kilometer and a population of 1,327 (2014).

Tikkurila is a district and major region of the municipality of Vantaa, Finland. Located in the eastern half of the Helsinki conurbation, some 16 kilometres (10 mi) north of the capital's downtown district, it is the administrative and commercial hub of Vantaa, although Myyrmäki is a rival commercial hub within the municipality.

Myyrmäki, literally meaning "Bog Hill", is a district and major region of the municipality of Vantaa, Finland. The district has an area of 2.7 square kilometres (1.0 sq mi) and a population of about 17,000, making it the most populous district in Vantaa. It is home to Myyrmanni, a large shopping complex.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Hiekkaharju</span> City District

Hiekkaharju is a district in Vantaa, Finland, located north of the Tikkurila district. It has its own railway station, the Hiekkaharju railway station, which serves commuter trains around Greater Helsinki. The district has a population of about 4,930. Hiekkaharju primarily accommodates housing, as shops and services are concentrated in the nearby commercial hub of Tikkurila. The first housing in the district was built in the 1920s, and the 1950s saw the rise of denser settlement, with the construction of many apartment buildings. Hiekkaharju railway station is highly regarded as one of the most beautiful railway stations in Finland.

Sotunki is a district of the city of Vantaa, Finland. The district has an area of 13.7 square kilometers and a population of about 641, making it one of the least densely populated and most rural districts in the city. It is served by its own high school. The valley and farmland in Sotunki are the district's main attractions. The area has been inhabited since the palaeolithic, with three different stone age camp sites identified.

Aviapolis is a business, retail, entertainment, and housing marketing brand area in central Vantaa, Finland, covering roughly 40 square kilometres (15 sq mi), including Finland's main airline hub and airport, Helsinki Airport.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Malmi, Helsinki</span> Neighbourhood of Helsinki, Finland

Malmi is a regional center and a major district on the north-eastern part of Helsinki, Finland. It has a population of 24,312 (2008). The Malmi District is divided into six subareas, two of which are the center forming Ylä-Malmi and Ala-Malmi, and the rest are Pihlajamäki, Tattariharju, Malmin lentokenttä and Pihlajisto. Malmin peruspiiri is a related but distinct subdivision of Helsinki which does not include Pihlajamäki and Pihlajisto, but instead includes Tapanila and Tapaninvainio. The population of this area is approximately 27,800.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Veromies</span> City District in Finland

Veromies is a city district in Vantaa, Finland. It is located in southeastern Vantaa, in the Aviapolis major region. It is situated south of Helsinki Airport and west of the Tuusulanväylä highway. To the south, Veromies borders the Pakkala district, separated by the Ring III beltway. It also borders the Viinikkala district to the west.

Pakkala is a city district in Vantaa, Finland. It is the most populated district in the Aviapolis major region, and is named after the Backas estate situated there. Helsingin pitäjän kirkonkylä is a city district in Vantaa, Finland. It is located in central Vantaa, in the Tikkurila major region. It is bordered to the north by the Ring III beltway, the west by the Tuusulanväylä highway, and south and east by the Helsinki neighbourhood of Siltamäki. The Helsinki–Vantaa Airport is located 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) northwest of the district.

Alppikylä is a neighborhood in the northeastern part of Helsinki, Finland. It is located between the Tattarisuo neighborhood and the Helsinki–Lahti Highway (E75), near the Helsinki–Malmi Airport. It is classified as belonging to the Suurmetsä district. At the beginning of 2017, the area had a population of 1,478.
