2014 Asian Games 17th edition of the Asian Games

The 2014 Asian Games, officially known as the 17th Asian Games, was a pan-Asian multi-sport event held in Incheon, South Korea. This was the third time South Korea hosted the Asian Games, and its first time since 2002. Previously, it had also hosted the 1986 edition of the games.

Tom Daley British diver

Thomas Robert Daley is an English diver, television personality and YouTube vlogger. He specialises in the 10-metre platform event and is a double World champion in the event; he won the 2009 FINA World Championship in the individual event at the age of 15, before regaining it in 2017. Bryan Nickson Lomas is a former Malaysian diver. Lomas was the youngest Malaysian athlete to qualify for 2004 Summer Olympics when he was 14. He became the country's first world junior diving champion after winning gold at the 3 m springboard event in the World Junior Championships held at Belem, Brazil in 2004. He trained under the coaching of Yang Zhuliang. Lomas is named after the footballer Bryan Robson by his father.

Cheong Jun Hoong is a Malaysian diver. She won a silver medal in the synchronised 10m platform event with Pandelela Rinong at the 2016 Summer Olympics. At the 2017 World Aquatics Championships, she became Malaysia's first diving world champion after winning the 10m platform event.

Kim Un-hyang is a North Korean diver. Her main events are 10m platform and 10m synchronized platform. She competed in the 10 metre platform event at the 2012 Summer Olympics. She competed for the 2014 Asian Games at both women's 10m platform and synchronized platform. At the 2014 Asian Games, She won the silver medal of women's 10m synchronized platform with her partner Song Nam Hyang and the bronze medal of the individual event. At the 2015 World Aquatics Championships, she won the bronze medal of women's 10m synchronized platform with her partner Song Nam Hyang. She competed in the women's 10 metre platform event at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, coming seventh overall.

Weightlifting was contested from 20 November to 29 November 1982 at the 1982 Asian Games in New Delhi, India. The competition included only men's events for ten different weight categories.

Diving competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto were held from July 10 to 13 at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre. Due to naming rights the arena were known as the latter for the duration of the games. Due to Pan American Games being scheduled to be held roughly around the same time as the 2015 World Aquatics Championships scheduled for Kazan, Russia, the diving begin on the day of the opening ceremony. A total of eight diving events were held: four each for men and women.

Chen Cuiting is a retired Chinese artistic gymnast who represented China at the 1988 Summer Olympics. She was born in Changsha. The Chinese team finished sixth in the team final, and Chen finished fourteenth in the all-around final. She won a bronze medal with her team at the 1989 World Championships. She also finished sixth in the all-around, fourth on beam, and fifth on floor. She was also a member of the team at the 1987 World Championships that finished in fourth. Individually, she finished eleventh in the all-around and sixth on floor. She competed at the Asian Games twice (1986,1990) and won gold in the team event, the all-around, on floor, and silver on vault both times. The 1990 Asian Games was also her last competition before retirement. After retirement, Chen moved to Hong Kong and worked as a judge at international events. She now has a career in banking in Hong Kong.

Diving at the2015 Southeast Asian Games was held in OCBC Aquatic Centre, in Kallang, Singapore from 6 to 9 June 2015.
