Diving at the 2001 World Aquatics Championships – Men's synchronized 3 metre springboard

Following are the results of the Men's 3 m synchro springboard diving event at the 2001 World Aquatics Championships held in Fukuoka, Japan, on July 22, 2001.

In the men's 3m springboard Bo Peng and Ke-Nan Wang from China held the lead throughout the final round from the first round of six. Their winning total was 342.63. Peng commented on their win, "It was my first world championships and I was very nervous. I think we performed very well and timing was perfect.

In the third dive, the Mexican duo of Joel Rodríguez and Fernando Platas edged ahead of the Russians Aleksandr Dobroskok and Dmitri Sautin. The Mexicans took the silver with 338.49 and Russian close but settling for the bronze with 335.19. Sautin said, "I had to have an operation, and I'm still undergoing therapy. I'm feeling tired. In light of that the bronze medal is good."

FINA World Aquatics Championships

David Alasdair Boudia is an American diver. He won the gold medal in the 10 metre platform diving competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics and the bronze medal in the same event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He also won a bronze medal with Nick McCrory in the men's synchronized 10 metre platform at the 2012 Summer Olympics and a silver medal in the same event with Steele Johnson at the 2016 Summer Olympics.

He is a two-time Olympic medalist, having won the silver medal with Sam Dorman in the men's synchronized 3-meter springboard event at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and the silver medal with Andrew Capobianco at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo in the same event.

Jack David Laugher is a British diver competing for Great Britain and England. A specialist on springboard, he competes in individual springboard events, and in synchronised events with Chris Mears and later Daniel Goodfellow. Laugher and Mears became Britain's first diving Olympic champions by winning a gold medal in the men's synchronised 3m springboard event at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, an achievement many had expected double world 10m champion Tom Daley would achieve first. A week later, Laugher won a silver in the men's individual 3m springboard at the same Games, becoming the first British diver to win multiple Olympic diving medals at the same Games.

Bryan Nickson Lomas Malaysian diver

Bryan Nickson Lomas is a former Malaysian diver. Lomas was the youngest Malaysian athlete to qualify for 2004 Summer Olympics when he was 14. He became the country's first world junior diving champion after winning gold at the 3 m springboard event in the World Junior Championships held at Belem, Brazil in 2004. He trained under the coaching of Yang Zhuliang. Lomas is named after the footballer Bryan Robson by his father.

Chris Mears (diver) British diver

Christopher James Mears is a British diver and DJ/Producer from Burghfield Common, near Reading, Berkshire. He competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the synchronised 3m springboard event with Jack Laugher and won gold, the first Olympic gold medal for Britain in diving.

Daniel Goodfellow British diver

He first represented Great Britain as a senior at the 2013 European Diving Championships in the 10 m platform event and the 2013 World Aquatics Championships in the same event. Goodfellow won a bronze medal in the Men's 10m Synchronised Platform event with his diving partner Tom Daley at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
