The film received a mixed reception by critics. Taran Adarsh praised the performances of the main actors and the music by Anu Malik such as 'Humnasheen' and 'Mujhse Kyon Roothe Ho?' but said "the sluggish pace of its narrative and classy treatment act as barricades. And the pre-climax portions, involving the child and the conclusion to the triangle, take the graph of the film downhill." [2] Patcy N of Rediff.com criticised the script and remarked that "there were too many holes in it" and questioned the choice of film for a debut by the director. [1]

Years later, Dev shows up to reunite with Anjali, however, she has fallen for Ram. The music was composed by Nadeem–Shravan.
Aks (transl. Reflection) is an Indian 2001 Hindi-language supernatural action thriller film directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, and starring Amitabh Bachchan, Raveena Tandon, and Manoj Bajpayee in leading roles. The music was composed by Anu Malik. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics and being a box office flop, it won three awards at the 47th Filmfare Awards: Best Actor — Critics (Bachchan), Special Award Performance (Tandon), and Best Sound Design (Ranjan). Bachchan and Bajpayee were nominated for the Best Actor and Best Villain at the same ceremony as well.

It received mixed reviews, who appreciated the performance of Govinda, but it got criticised for writing, screenplay, cliched story and VFX, this film was a box office failure.

The film narrates the story of a persecuted wife of a greedy politician who takes on his role after he lands up in jail because of murder charges. Satta received critical acclaim upon release and is considered one of the best performances of Tandon. The film was released on the same day as Khushi, Baaz and Kash Aap Hamare Hote.
