Career

Selen Tatsuki

She debuted under the Nijisanji brand as Selen Tatsuki in July 2021. [3] In 2023, she won Best FPS Vtuber and Gamer of The Year at The Vtuber Awards, one of only two individual VTubers to win multiple awards. [4]

On February 5, 2024, Nijisanji EN announced the termination of Selen Tatsuki's contract after she had been inactive online for over a month, citing breaches of contract, violations of internal rules, misleading statements on social media, and actions causing payment delays for commissions to fan creators. [3] Additionally, the notice accused Selen of posting a song cover without proper authorization, leading to management unpublishing the video until authorizations were confirmed. [5] The company received backlash from the VTuber community afterwards. [6]

She later stated that her hospitalization was due to a suicide attempt caused by poor management and a toxic environment. [5]

She later stated that she made zero profit from Selen Tatsuki in 2023. [7]

Return to Dokibird

She returned to her old persona Dokibird, after her termination from Nijisanji. [8]

On March 6, 2024, Dokibird placed 4th on Stream Hatchet's Top 10 Vtubers for February. [9] [10]

On May 25, 2024, Dokibird hosted a WWE 2K tournament with other VTubers, the tournament lasted for 2 days. VTuber Unnamed won the tournament. [11]

On June 24, 2024, it was announced that HYTE will be making a customised PC case based on Dokibird. [1] [12]

At the Anime Expo in 2024, the Good Smile Company announced that Dokibird would get her own Nendoroid. [13] [14]
