It also stars Amrish Puri, Shakti Kapoor, and Om Shivpuri in supporting roles. It is about a brother and sister who try to find success and become big singers.
Ajay-Atul is an Indian music composer duo comprising brothers Ajay Ashok Gogavale and Atul Ashok Gogavale. They won the Best Music Direction award at the 56th National Film Awards from the Government of India for their music in the Marathi film Jogwa in 2008. They made their debut in the 2015 Forbes India Celebrity 100 List securing a position of 82 and were placed 22nd in 2019. They have composed music for many hit Marathi & Hindi films.

The screenplay is written by Madhusudan Kalekar, dialogue by Vrajendra Gaud and story by Kishore Kumar. Jhumroo was theatrically released on 27 January, 1961 and became a box office success. The album was under-development, when the film was in post-production stage and was completed only by early-August 2012. All the tracks in the film expresses the feelings of Kapoor's character.
Sairat is the soundtrack album composed and written by Ajay–Atul, to the 2016 Marathi film of the same name, directed by Nagraj Manjule that stars Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar in lead roles. The film was produced by Nittin Keni, Nikhil Sane and Nagraj Manjule under the productions Zee Studios, Essel Vision Productions and Aatpat Productions. The four-song soundtrack was released under the Zee Music Company label on 1 April 2016, to critical acclaim and fetched numerous accolades. Sairat notably the first Indian film to record the musical score at the Sony Scoring Stage in California.

Zero (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is the soundtrack album to the 2018 film of the same name directed by Aanand L. Rai starring Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. The album featured seven songs, with four of them composed by Ajay–Atul and three songs by Tanishk Bagchi, who worked as a guest composer. Irshad Kamil and Kumaar were the lyricists. The album was released by T-Series on 21 December 2018.

The 11-song soundtrack features compositions from Rachita Arora, Nucleya and Singh, and lyrics written by Singh, Hussain Haidry and Sunil Jogi. The soundtrack was released through the Eros Music label on 23 December 2017.
