Dominic Zvada (born October 25, 2003) is an American football placekicker for the Michigan Wolverines. He previously played for the Arkansas State Red Wolves.

Early life and high school

Zvada attended Valley Christian High School located in Chandler, Arizona. Coming out of high school, Zvada was rated as a five-star kicker, and committed to play college football for the Arkansas State Red Wolves. [1] [2]

College career

Arkansas State

In 2022, Zvada's first collegiate season, he made 17 of his 18 field goal attempts and 30 of his 31 extra point attempts, with his only misses being blocked. For his performance, he finished the year as a Lou Groza Award semifinalist and a freshman All-American. [3] [4] In the 2023 season, Zvada converted on 17 of his 22 field goal attempts and made all 41 of his extra points. [5] After the conclusion of the 2023 season, Zvada entered the NCAA transfer portal. [6] [7]

Michigan

In 2024, Zvada transferred to play for the Michigan Wolverines. [8] [9] He was named the Wolverines starting kicker in the 2024 season opener versus Fresno State. [10] Zvada made all six kicks, three extra points and three field goals. He connected on fields goals of 55, 53 and 45 yards, earning him the week one Big Ten co-special teams player of the week. [11] [12] In week two against Texas, Zvada was two for two with field goals of 52 and 37 yards. [13] In week five against Minnesota, Zvada connected on his fourth field goal of over 50 yards, making field goals of 53 and 35 yards to remain a perfect 7 of 7 for the season. [14] He became the only kicker in Michigan football history to successfully make four over 50 yards in the same season, and earned the week five Big Ten special teams player of the week. [15]

The 2009 Michigan Wolverines football team represented the University of Michigan in the 2009 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They played their home games at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Michigan and competed in the Big Ten Conference. The team attempted to rebound from its worst season in its 130-year football history and succeeded at first, starting the season 4–0 and earning a No. 20 ranking in the polls. Over the final eight games the Wolverines went 1–7 however, ending the season with a 5–7 record and failing to qualify for a bowl game for the second straight year. 2008 and 2009 were Michigan's first back-to-back sub-.500 seasons since 1962 and 1963; they also failed to win a road game for the first time since 1962.

There he was discovered as a potential kicker for his school's football team, the Twinsburg Tigers, and became one of the best high school football kickers in the nation, excelling as both a punter and placekicker. After earning top honors in his state, Meskó was recruited by several college football teams. He selected Michigan over several schools including Indiana, Ohio State, and USC.

Brett Swenson is a former American football placekicker. He was signed by the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2010. He played college football at Michigan State University.

Garrett Rivas is a former American football kicker who played in af2 and the Arena Football League (AFL). He played college football at Michigan where he held the former school records for career scoring, field goals and point after touchdowns and was a three-time All-Big Ten Conference selection during his time there.
