Donald Sage (born October 5, 1981) is an American track athlete and the winner of the 2002 NCAA Outdoor 1500m championship.
Sage graduated from York Community High School in Elmhurst, Illinois in 2000, where he ran for legendary coach Joe Newton. He won state titles in cross country (1999) and track & field (1600m (1999 and 2000) and 3200m (1999 and 2000)). In the 2000 Prefontaine Classic Sage ran a 4:00.29 mile. That also made him the 2nd fastest high school runner to not break the 4 minute barrier. Sage attended Stanford University. He was a three time All-American in cross country, helping the Cardinal to 2 team championships (2002, 2003) and a seven time All-American in track, including his victory in the 2002 outdoor 1500m. Alan Lawrence Culpepper is an American distance runner and two time United States Olympian. Along with competing on four World Championship teams, his accomplishments include finishing fourth in the Boston Marathon in 2005, winning the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials Marathon and finishing 12th at the 2004 Olympic marathon in Athens. His 2:09:41 at the 2002 Chicago Marathon tied him with Alberto Salazar for the fastest ever debut marathon by an American, and remains his fastest marathon. Culpepper has won three U.S. Cross Country titles and three track titles. His personal bests include 3:55.1 for the mile, 13:25 for 5k and 27:33 in the 10k.
Chris Huffins is an athlete from the United States who competed in the field of Decathlon. He was the Director and Head Coach of the Men's and Women's Track and Field and Cross Country programs at the University of California from 2002 to 2007. He married Monique Parker in 1997 with whom he had one son Zachary. He earned a degree from the University of California in Political Economies of Industrial Societies in 2007. Huffins is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity. He is currently married to Tamika Huffins with whom he had another son, Jaxon.
Jordan Melissa Hasay is an American distance runner. She grew up in Arroyo Grande, California, and attended Mission College Preparatory High School in San Luis Obispo. She was unanimously selected 2008 Girls High School Athlete of the Year by the voting panel at Track and Field News. In March 2009, she became the ninth high school athlete and third woman on the cover of Track and Field News magazine. She attended the University of Oregon, where she studied business administration and competed on the cross country and track and field teams earning 18 All-American honors, 2011 Mile and 3,000 meters NCAA titles. Her father was a high school basketball star in Pennsylvania, and her mother was a national level swimmer in her native England. Jordan Hasay is no longer coached by Alberto Salazar due to his suspension.
Will Leer is an American mid-distance runner. He graduated from Pomona College in Claremont, California in May 2007. Leer has represented the United States in international competition.
Robert M. Curtis is an American distance runner who ran professionally for the Hansons-Brooks Distance Project. As a student athlete at Villanova, he won the men's 5000 meters at the 2008 NCAA DI National Championship. Over the course of his running career, he struggled with insomnia.
Christopher Lukezic, known simply as Chris Lukezic, is an American retired middle distance runner. He represented the United States in the men's 1500-meter at the 2005 World Championships in Athletics and the men's 1500-meter at the 2006 IAAF World Indoor Championships.
Andrew "Andy" Wheating is a retired American middle distance runner. Wheating competed for the United States in the men's 800 m at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China, and in the 1500 m at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He was a professional runner for Nike.
Jennifer Simpson is an American middle- and long-distance runner, formerly a steeplechaser. She won the gold medal in the 1500 meters at the 2011 World Championships, silvers at the 2013 and 2017 World Championships, and a bronze at the 2016 Rio Olympics, becoming the first American woman to win an Olympic medal in the event.
Alan James Drosky is the head cross country running coach for both the men's and women's teams and the head track and field coach for the women's team at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Drosky is from Riverdale, Georgia where he graduated from Riverdale High School in 1982. Before becoming a coach at his alma mater, Alan Drosky was an All-American distance runner for the Yellow Jackets before graduating in 1987 with a degree in Industrial Management. He later returned to Tech to receive his master's degree in Management in 1989. Coach Drosky's immense impact on both the Georgia Tech Cross-Country and Track programs as both a coach and runner have helped to make both programs flourish over the last 30 years.
Angela BizzarriPflugrath is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) and a former American distance runner. She competed for the University of Illinois (2006–2010) and won three NCAA national championships: in Cross Country, as well as in the 5000 meters (outdoor) and 3000 meters (indoor). As an Illini she earned nine All-American honours and five Big Ten Conference titles. She also holds Illini records in the 1500 meters, 3000 meters, 5000 meters (outdoor), 5000 meters (indoor), the mile, and, in Cross Country, the 6000 meters.

Garrett Heath is an American runner from Winona, Minnesota, who raced in various middle and long-distance running events. He represented the United States at the 2010 World Indoor Championships where he finished seventh in the 1500 meters. He is the elder brother of Elliott Heath.
David Torrence was a Peruvian-American middle-distance runner and indoor American record holder in the 1000 meters (active). Born in Okinawa, Japan, Torrence was raised in Tarzana, California. After graduating from Loyola High School in 2003, he went on to run for the University of California, Berkeley and Hoka One One. Torrence represented Peru at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Craig Engels is an American middle-distance runner. He competed for the United States at the 2013 Pan American Junior Athletics Championships, where he won the men's 1500 meters. In the 2016 USA Olympic Trials Engels was focused on making the semi-finals of the 800m and was listed as an alternate for the 1500m. He finished 4th in the 800m final and 5th in the 1500m final, missing out on the Olympics in both events.
Clayton Murphy is an American middle-distance runner. He won the bronze medal in the 800-meter run at the 2016 Olympic Games. He was the gold medalist in the 800-meter run at the 2015 Pan American Games. He ran collegiately for the University of Akron, before signing with Nike in June 2016 and joining the Nike Oregon Project.
Chad Noelle is an American professional middle distance runner. He was the NCAA Champion at 1500m at the 2015 NCAA Championship while competing for Oklahoma State University. He later competed at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials.
Karissa Schweizer is an American middle- and long-distance runner, Olympian and World Record holder in the women's 4x1500 meters relay. She competed in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the 5000 meters and 10,000 meters events finishing 11th and 12th, respectively. In 2020, she set the indoor 3000 meters American Record with a time of 8:25.70.
Joe Klecker is an American distance runner. He finished 2nd in the NCAA DI XC Championships in 2019 and turned pro with On Running, coached by Dathan Ritzenhein in 2020. Klecker holds PRs of 3:37.55 for 1500m, 7:39.18 for 3000m, 12:54.99 for 5000m, and 27:07.57 for 10000m, all of which were set in his Professional Career.
Cooper Teare is an American distance runner who races events such as the 1500m, 3000m, 5000m. As a runner at the University of Oregon, he won the 5000m in 13:12.27 at the 2021 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships. This time was a school record, championship record, Olympic standard qualifying time, and the fastest performance ever by an American collegiate runner. Teare also was a part of a team that won the distance medley relay at the 2021 NCAA Division I Indoor Track Championships to help lead Oregon to a national team title. In addition, Teare is the collegiate record holder in both the indoor mile and distance medley relay. Teare finished 10th in the 1500 m and 5000 m at the 2018 IAAF World U20 Championships in Tampere, Finland.
Cole Hocker is an American middle and long-distance runner. He competed collegiately for the University of Oregon, where he won multiple NCAA titles. Hocker announced in 2021 he would forgo his remaining NCAA eligibility to run professionally, signing to run under Nike.
