Dongbaekseom is an island of Busan,South Korea. It is located on the west end of the Haeundae Beach right where Western Chosun Beach Hotel is located. It was designated as the 46th monument of Busan on March 9,1999.
'Dongbaek' is a Korean word for camellias,and 'Seom' is a Korean word of an island. As the name suggests,it used to be an island,but now is a part of the mainland. [1] It became a peninsula attached to the land by sedimentation. The reason the island was named as a 'Dongbaek' island is because the island has a great number of camellias habitation. [2] It also offers a beautiful view of Busan,with Gwangang Bridge,and Haeundae Beach. [3]
Many poets,including Choe Chi-won,visited the scenic spot where the sea and forest are harmonized,and played around to recite their emotions to posterity.
A trail is built around Dongbaek Island,and people from the past and the present are cut down in various places,including Choi Chi-won's Haeundae,statues,and disputes,as well as Princess Hwangok's legendary mermaid statue and Nurimaru APEC House. [4]
On the island,there is a walking path which will take about 45 min to go all the away around the island.
There is a facility called,'Nurimaru,' an APEC House which was used to hold a 2005 APEC meetings.
There is a statue based on the legend of Princess Hwagok,which resembles a western ancient creature,a mermaid. There is also a statue of Choi Chi Won,who is known to have named the Heaundae beach. [2]

Runway 18L/36R is used for military purposes only for Gimhae Air Base,but due to increasing traffic,there are plans to open the runway for airliners. In 2018,17,064,613 passengers used the airport.

The Gwangalli Beach or Gwangan Beach is a beach in Busan,South Korea. It is located at Gwangan 2(i)-dong,Suyeong-gu,Busan Metropolitan City,west of Haeundae Beach. It sits inside a cove spanned by the Gwangan Bridge and covers 82,000 square meters over a length of 1.4 km and a width of 25 to 110 metres,in a curved in a half-moon shape with fine sand. Taejongdae (Korean: 태종대) is a natural park on the southernmost point of Yeongdo District,Busan,South Korea. It is a popular tourist attraction in Busan,with dense evergreen trees and facilities for tourists such as an observatory,an amusement park,a light house,and a cruise ship terminal. It is said that its name to have taken from King Taejong Muyeol (604–661),the 29th king of the Silla Kingdom who liked to practice archery there after the unification of the Three Kingdoms of Korea. Taejongdae is designated as the 28 Busan monument,along with Oryukdo Island.

It features over 46,500 m2 of exhibition space and 53 meeting rooms. In June 2012,BEXCO completed its expansion to add a 4,002-seat auditorium and a new exhibition center.

Haeundae LCT The Sharp is a major urban development project in Jung-dong,Haeundae District,Busan,South Korea. Located in front of Haeundae Beach,it consists of a 411.6 m (1,350 ft),101-floor supertall landmark tower and two 85-floor residential skyscrapers. It has an urban entertainment complex at the base housing a shopping mall,a hot spring spa and a water park. The landmark tower houses luxury and residential hotels with a convention center and an observatory.
Marine City is a residential area in Haeundae District,Busan,South Korea. Most of the buildings are very luxurious skyscrapers. Marine City is built on reclaimed land between the popular areas of Haeundae Beach and Centum City. Songdo Beach is a man-made beach in Busan,South Korea. It was created in 1913. The name "Songdo" was given due to the thick pine forest covering the island.
