Donna Smellie (born 2 September 1964) is a Canadian athlete. She competed in the women's heptathlon at the 1984 Summer Olympics. [1]

At the 1964 Summer Olympics, eighteen swimming events were contested, ten for men and eight for women. There were a total of 405 participants from 42 countries competing. For the first time, the 4 × 100 metres freestyle relay for men and the 400 metres individual medley for both men and women were contested. Olympic records were broken in all events and the world record was broken in ten events. This competition also marked the debut of electronic touchpads for timing.

Oluseyi Smith or Seyi Smith is a Nigerian-born Canadian sprinter. He took part in the 2012 Summer Olympics in the 4 × 100 m relay with teammates Jared Connaughton, Gavin Smellie and Justyn Warner. In the final, the Canadian relay team arrived in third place and initially believed they had won bronze but they were disqualified when officials judged that Connaughton had stepped on the lane line just before passing the baton. The relay team from Trinidad and Tobago were awarded the bronze.
