The Bezirk Dornbirn is an administrative district ( Bezirk ) in Vorarlberg, Austria. A rather young district, it was separated from the Feldkirch district in 1969.

The World Gymnaestrada 2007 took place from July 8 to July 14, 2007 in Dornbirn in Vorarlberg (Austria). Over 22,000 active gymnasts and their companions from 53 countries participated in this World Gymnaestrada. The event was characterized by the intense sympathy of the population and the approximately 8,000 volunteers.
