Marty James Chabert is a businessman from Houma, Louisiana, who is a Democratic former member of the Louisiana State Senate. James Robert Wooley, known as J. Robert Wooley, is an attorney in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who served as a Democrat as his state's insurance commissioner from 2003 to 2006. He was also the acting insurance commissioner from 2000 to 2003.

Samuel Houston Theriot is an American politician who served as a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives for Abbeville in Vermilion Parish in southwestern Louisiana. He represented District 47 in the House from 1979 until 1996.

He was the father of Charles Elson "Buddy" Roemer III, who served as governor from 1988 to 1992, between the third and fourth Edwards terms.
