Dr. Bhanumati On Duty is an Indian Hindi hospital based comedy television series, which was premiered on 7 June 2016 and broadcast on SAB TV. The series is produced by Optimystix Entertainment owned by Vipul D Shah and it is aired on weekdays. [1] [2]

A revised view characterizes the essential agon of comedy as a struggle between a relatively powerless youth and the societal conventions that pose obstacles to his hopes. In this struggle, the youth is understood to be constrained by his lack of social authority, and is left with little choice but to take recourse in ruses which engender very dramatic irony which provokes laughter.

Kaushik is best known for her portrayal of Chandramukhi Chautala on SAB TV sitcom F.I.R., a role which established her career in the Indian television industry, and made her a household name. Kaushik had participated in the dance reality show Nach Baliye, and was one the participants in the eighth installation of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Kavita played the lead role on Sab TV's Dr. Bhanumati On Duty.

[3] Kaushik left the show due to her character not developing, and the show being very similar to her previous show, F.I.R., and most dialogues were copied.

F.I.R. is an Indian television sitcom that aired from 31 July 2006 to 23 January 2015, on SAB TV. The show was produced by Edit 2 Productions. It was nominated for the Best Sitcom category at the Indian Telly Awards in 2009. It again telecast its old episodes on Sab TV from 3 April 2017. The sitcom was set in a police station.
