The Dr. Cyrus & Myrtle Katzen Cancer Research Center is a research unit of the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. [1] The center was started through a $10 million donation from Dr. Cyrus and Myrtle Katzen. [2] The current director is Robert S. Siegel, M.D. [3]
The center awarded over $350,000 in grants to GW researchers during the 2011 academic year. The center is also the recipient of many external grants from government agencies and foundations. [4]
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is a non-profit, tertiary, 915-bed teaching hospital and multi-specialty academic health science center located in Los Angeles, California. Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is a public research university focusing primarily on health sciences with a main campus, including two hospitals, in Portland, Oregon. Rachel F. Brem is an American diagnostic radiologist, professor of radiology at the George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences, and director of the Breast Imaging and Interventional Center at George Washington University’s Cancer Center. She previously served as director of Breast Imaging at Johns Hopkins. Brem develops novel technologies to better support early diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. She is a fellow of the American College of Radiology and the Society of Breast Imaging.
