The second season of Drag Race Philippines premiered on 2 August 2023. [1] The season aired on HBO Go in Philippines and WOW Presents Plus internationally. [2] The season was confirmed, alongside Drag Race Philippines: Untucked!, by World of Wonder on 19 October 2022. [3]
The winner of the second of Drag Race Philippines was Captivating Katkat, with Arizona Brandy as the runner-up. Hana Beshie was named Miss Congeniality.
On 6 October 2022, season 1 alternate judge Rajo Laurel teased about a renewal of the show. [4] However, both Discovery+ and HBO Go denied that there was already a season two of Drag Race Philippines in production. [5]
On 19 October 2022, the production company, World of Wonder announced that the show, alongside Drag Race Philippines: Untucked!, have been renewed for a second season. [3] [6]
On 30 October 2022, it was announced via the shows official Instagram page, that casting for the second season was now open. Applications remained open for four weeks until closing on 1 December 2022. [7]
In March 2023, Warner Bros. Discovery Asia-Pacific announced that streaming platform Discovery+ would be discontinued in the Philippines on 27 April 2023, [8] [9] leaving the national broadcasting exclusivity to video-on demand service HBO Go.
On 29 June 2023, World of Wonder, released a promotional post on social media. [10] The post showcases the host, Paolo Ballesteros in a tropical-themed set. On 5 July 2023, alongside Ballesteros, judges KaladKaren and Jiggly Caliente would recur their roles again during season 2. [11] And lastly, on 28 July 2023, photographer BJ Pascual, actor and comedian Jon Santos and fashion designer Rajo Laurel were reconfirmed as alternating judges this season. [12]

RuPaul's Drag Race is an American reality competition television series, the first in the Drag Race franchise, produced by World of Wonder for Logo TV, WOW Presents Plus, VH1 and, beginning with the fifteenth season, MTV. The show documents RuPaul in the search for "America's next drag superstar". RuPaul plays the role of host, mentor, and head judge for this series, as contestants are given different challenges each week. Contestants are judged by a panel that includes RuPaul, Michelle Visage, an alternating third main judge of either Carson Kressley, Ross Mathews, or Ts Madison, and one or more guest judges, who critique their progress throughout the competition. The title of the show is a play on drag queen and drag racing, and the title sequence and song "Drag Race" both have a drag-racing theme.
The tenth season of RuPaul's Drag Race began airing on March 22, 2018, on VH1. The premiere was broadcast one week after the finale of the third season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars, and episodes are to be followed by RuPaul's Drag Race: Untucked. Contestants were officially announced on February 22, 2018, in a teaser trailer during an episode of All Stars 3 later followed by a special "Meet the Queens" live-stream on Facebook, hosted by season nine winner, Sasha Velour. This season saw the return of season 9 contestant Eureka O'Hara who was removed from her original season after tearing her ACL. VH1 renewed both RuPaul's Drag Race and its spin-off RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars for a thirteenth and sixth season respectively on August 20, 2020. Casting calls for season 13 were opened in December 2019. In addition to airing on VH1, the premiere episode was simulcast across 5 other channels: Logo, MTV, MTV2, Pop, and The CW, becoming the most-watched episode in the franchise's history.
The fourteenth season of RuPaul's Drag Race premiered on January 7, 2022. The reality competition series, broadcast on VH1 in the United States, showcases 14 new queens competing for the title of "America's Next Drag Superstar". Casting calls for season 14 were opened in November 2020, and the cast was officially revealed by season 13 winner Symone on VH1 on December 2, 2021. The first season of Drag Race Italia premiered on November 18, 2021. The cast was announced on October 28, 2021. The winner of the first season of Drag Race Italia was Elecktra Bionic, becoming the first ever winner in the Drag Race franchise without any maxi-challenge wins, and the first contestant to never lip sync or win a maxi-challenge in the same season, with Farida Kant and Le Riche as runners-up.

The eighth season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars premiered on Paramount+ on May 12, 2023.
