The album was released on October 26, 2016 under their record label J Storm in two editions: a first press/limited edition and a regular edition. The regular edition comes with a 36-page lyrics booklet and the limited edition comes with an 80-page photo lyrics and a bonus DVD with the music video and making-of for "Don't You Get It?". The album sold over 636,000 copies in its first week and topped the Oricon charts. With more than 720,000 copies sold, the album was certified for Triple Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ). It was released digitally on February 7, 2020.
Face Yourself is the third Japanese and fifth overall studio album by South Korean boy band BTS released on April 4, 2018, through Big Hit, Virgin, Universal Music Japan and Def Jam Recordings. The album contains Japanese versions of songs previously released on the group's second Korean studio album Wings (2016), and the Love Yourself: Her (2017) extended play (EP), as well as three new, original Japanese-language tracks: "Don't Leave Me", "Let Go", and "Crystal Snow". Its debut at number 43 on the Billboard 200 made it the third-highest-charting Japanese album in the history of the chart.
Shinee the Best from Now On is the first Japanese compilation by South Korean boy group Shinee. The album was released on April 18, 2018, preceded by a new single, "From Now On". The album officially marks the first Shinee release to feature Jonghyun after his death on December 18, 2017. The album sold over 95,000 copies in Japan, and was certified Gold there. It peaked at number one on the Oricon charts.
You Made My Dawn is the sixth Korean extended play and by South Korean boy band Seventeen. It was released on January 21, 2019, through Pledis Entertainment with the lead singles "Getting Closer" and "Home". It debuted atop the Gaon Album Chart, Oricon Albums Chart and at number four on the US Billboard World Albums chart.

#Twice2 is the second Japanese compilation album by South Korean girl group Twice. It consists of both Korean and Japanese versions of "Likey", "Heart Shaker", "What Is Love?", "Dance the Night Away" and "Yes or Yes". It was released by Warner Music Japan on March 6, 2019.
Japanese idol group Nogizaka46 has released thirty-one singles and six albums, as well as numerous music videos and concert performance videos. Million-selling singles have included "Influencer" and "Synchronicity", each of which won a Japan Record Awards Grand Prix, as well as "Kaerimichi wa Tōmawari Shitaku Naru" and "Sayonara no Imi". Album releases include the studio albums Tōmei na Iro, Sorezore no Isu, Umarete kara Hajimete Mita Yume, and Ima ga Omoide ni Naru made. The group also released a compilation of "under" songs, written for members who perform at concerts but are not part of the main selection group for promoting singles, with the title Boku dake no Kimi: Under Super Best. They released the 10-year-anniversary greatest hits album, titled Time Flies.
Japanese boy band JO1 has released three studio albums, one live album, one video album, nine singles, thirty seven promotional singles, and eighteen music videos with Lapone Entertainment. Formed through the reality competition show Produce 101 Japan, JO1 debuted in 2020 with the single Protostar and the Japan Hot 100 number-one song "Infinity". The single made the group the seventh Japanese artist to sell over 300,000 copies of a debut single in the first week. It was followed by the single Stranger and its lead track "Oh-Eh-Oh", both of which peaked atop the Oricon Singles Chart and the Japan Hot 100, respectively. The group's first studio album, The Star (2020), debuted at number two on the Japan Hot Albums chart.
The Book is the debut EP by Japanese duo Yoasobi. It was released on January 6, 2021, through Sony Music Entertainment Japan, the same date with their single "Kaibutsu", accompanied the second season of Beastars. A concept of "reading CD" with binder package, the EP consists of all singles released from 2019 to 2020, including other track "Encore". The track-by-track cover EP Mikunoyoasobi by Ayase with Vocaloid voicebank Hatsune Miku, was released on the same day exclusively at Tower Records Japan.

BTS, the Best is the second Japanese-language compilation album by South Korean boy band BTS. It was released on June 16, 2021, through Big Hit Music, Universal Music Japan sublabel Virgin Music and Def Jam Recordings. The album is a compilation of their previous two Japanese-language studio albums, Face Yourself (2018) and Map of the Soul: 7 – The Journey (2020). It was a commercial success in Japan, reaching number one on the Oricon Albums Chart, and earned the biggest first week sales for an album in 2021 domestically. BTS became the first South Korean group to surpass the 1 million sales mark for an album in the country.
The Book 2 is the second Japanese-language EP by Japanese duo Yoasobi. It was released on December 1, 2021, through Sony Music Entertainment Japan, eleven months after their debut EP The Book (2021). It consists of eight tracks, preceded by their all singles released in 2021, and included the new song "Moshi mo Inochi ga Egaketara".
The Oricon Combined Albums Chart is a record chart released weekly by Oricon—a major provider of information on the Japanese music industry. First published on December 24, 2018, it ranks the top fifty albums through an equivalent unit system based on physical CD sales, digital downloads, and the streaming of songs. The Oricon Albums Chart only factors physical sales. The Combined Albums Chart is competed by Billboard Japan's Hot Albums, another multi-factor record chart.
"New Genesis" (新時代, Shin Jidai, alternatively titled "New Genesis (Uta from One Piece Film Red)") is a song recorded by Japanese singer Ado, released on June 8, 2022, by Virgin Music. Written and produced by Yasutaka Nakata, the song served as the image song for the Japanese animated film, One Piece Film: Red. Upon its release, "New Genesis" peaked at number one on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 and Oricon Digital Singles Chart. The single also peaked at number 20 on the Billboard Global 200. It won Song of the Year at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards Japan.
Wave is the first Japanese extended play (EP) by South Korean girl group Ive. It was released on May 31, 2023 by Starship Entertainment and Ariola Japan. The EP contains 5 tracks, including the lead single of the same name, Japanese versions of the group's Korean singles "After Like" and "Love Dive" and one new original Japanese song, "Classic". The EP topped the charts in Japan, debuting at number one on the Oricon Albums Chart and the Billboard Japan Hot Album.
Social Path / Super Bowl is the third Japanese-language extended play by South Korean boy band Stray Kids. It was released on September 6, 2023, through Epic Records Japan. It has been marketed as the group's "Japan first EP", despite having two previous, which were officially classified as "mini-album".
