Drew John is an American politician and a former Republican member of the Arizona House of Representatives elected to represent District 14 from 2017 to 2019. He also served 4 terms as Graham County Supervisor representing the 1st district. He lost a bid for Arizona State Senate to David Gowan in 2018. [1]
Gloria Negrete McLeod is an American politician who was the United States representative for California's 35th congressional district from 2013 to 2015. The district included portions of eastern Los Angeles County and western San Bernardino County. She was a California state senator,representing the 32nd district,from December 2006 until her election to Congress. Prior to that,she served in the California State Assembly from 2000 to 2006,after having lost in a 1998 bid for the Assembly. A resident of Chino,she defeated Joe Baca Jr.,in the Democratic primary for the Senate seat. She defeated Joe Baca Sr. in her 2012 election to Congress. In February 2014,she announced her intention not to run for reelection,and instead to run for the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors. Negrete McLeod lost the November election to Republican state Assemblyman Curt Hagman.
United States gubernatorial elections were held on November 2,2010,in 37 states and two territories. These elections coincided with the elections for the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives as well as other state and local elections. As in most midterm elections,the party controlling the White House lost ground. Democrats took five governorships from the Republicans,while Republicans took 12 governorships from the Democrats. An independent won one governorship previously held by a Republican,while a Republican won one governorship previously held by an independent. Republicans held a majority of governorships for the first time since before the 2006 elections. One state,Louisiana,had no election for governor,but it did feature a special election for lieutenant governor.
