"Drown In My Mind" is the second single from Story Untold's debut album Waves . [1]
Lead vocalist Janick Thibault states, "Drown In My Mind is the song that was the easiest to write for me. It's just so personal to me and also felt like a huge relief. The past few years of my life have been hard for me on a personal level and back when I had my hard times, I wish I would've had a song like that to listen to that would've basically told me "it's ok to feel like that". Musically I think it sets the mood for the whole album. Our album that is called "Waves" is definitely more mature lyrically and musically than what we put out in the past. I think it's the perfect balance between catchy fun pop punk songs and more mature heartfelt songs. We hope you guys are gonna dig the songs as much as we do!" [2]
Tony Lombardo is an American musician who was the original bassist in the punk rock band the Descendents. He joined the band in 1979 and played on their debut single, the Fat EP (1981), and the albums Milo Goes to College (1982) and I Don't Want to Grow Up (1985). After leaving the band, he performed in other acts and worked for the United States Postal Service until 2005. He collaborated with the Descendents' successor band, All, writing two songs for their album Allroy's Revenge (1989) and teaming up with them for an album of his own songs, New Girl, Old Story (1991), credited to "TonyAll". He also collaborated with the reunited Descendents on their 1996 album Everything Sucks.
The Kooks are an English indie rock band formed in 2004 in Brighton. The band currently consists of Luke Pritchard, Hugh Harris and Alexis Nunez (drums). The original bassist was Max Rafferty, and the founding drummer was Paul Garred. The lineup of the band remained constant until the departure of Rafferty in 2008. Dan Logan served as a temporary replacement, then Peter Denton joined the band permanently in October 2008 until they announced he was no longer playing with them in January 2019. Early in 2010, Pritchard announced the departure of drummer Paul Garred, due to a nerve problem in his arm. Late in the year, Garred rejoined for studio sessions, however Chris Prendergast played drums when the band played live. Garred finally left in November 2011 after the release of their fourth album, Junk of the Heart.

Story Untold is a Canadian rock band based in Laval, Quebec. Founded in 2012, the band signed with Hopeless Records in May 2016. Shortly after signing, they recorded their self-titled EP, then went on tour with Simple Plan and Hit the Lights. Story Untold currently includes vocalist and main songwriter Janick Thibault and drummer Jonathan Landry. In December 2019, the band left Hopeless Records and now remains as an independent group.

"History" is the first single from Canadian band Story Untold. The members of Story Untold are from Quebec, Canada, which is also home to Simple Plan. Simple Plan has known the five-piece for a while, and the French Canadians teamed up to write Story Untold's newest single "History". The song is about how the band is going to make it big, even if it seems like a crazy idea: "You can call me crazy/But when I close my eyes/I can see it clearly/I can see the shining lights." The song was co-penned with Simple Plan's vocalist Pierre Bouvier and drummer Chuck Comeau. The song is just one of seven songs on the band's self-titled EP. History also has a music video where the band is a part of an underground fight club. It features each boy taking on a different fighter, and it subtly introduces each band member for those who have never heard of Story Untold before. An acoustic version of the song does appear on YouTube but is not featured on the Story Untold EP.

This is the first album to be released on Hopeless Records from the band. This is also the first album to feature drummer, Jonathan Landry. The song "Delete" and "Drown in My Mind" were released from the album. As of May 2018, this would be the only album featuring Max Cloutier and Jessy Bergy.
