Drue Pearce (born April 2,1951) is an American businesswoman and politician. She is currently Director,Government Affairs at Holland &Hart,LLP.
Born in Fairfield,Illinois,Pearce received her bachelor's degree in biological science from Indiana University Bloomington in 1973. She then received her master's degree in public administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government in 1984. In 1989,Pearce completed the Executive Program at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. [1]
Pearce lived in Anchorage,Alaska and was in the banking and real estate business. From 1985 to 1989,Pearce served in the Alaska House of Representatives and was a Republican. Then,from 1989 to 2001,Pearce served in the Alaska State Senate and was president of the senate in 1995 and 1999. In 2001,Pearce resigned from the Alaska Senate to be the senior advisor on Alaska Affairs to the Secretary of the United States Department of Interior serving from 2001 to 2006. From 2006 to 2010,Pearce served as the administrator of the Office of the Federal Coordinator,Alaska Natural Gas Transportation Projects overseeing the construction of the proposed Alaska Natural Gas Pipeline. Eric Chancy Croft is an American attorney and politician who represented Anchorage's West district on the Anchorage Assembly from 2016 to 2019. From 1997 to 2006,Croft served as a member of the Alaska House of Representatives for District 15,representing Spenard,Anchorage. He was also a candidate in the 2006 Alaska gubernatorial election. He received 23.1% of the vote,losing to 68.6% achieved by former governor Tony Knowles. Croft served as Anchorage's school board president from 2013 to 2016. In April 2016,he was elected to the Anchorage Assembly,replacing Ernie Hall,who decided not to run for reelection.
Bill P. Wielechowski is an American lawyer serving as a Democratic member of the Alaska Senate representing District K,which is located in Northeast Anchorage,Alaska. She was appointed by Governor Michael J. Dunleavy in 2018 to serve as the Deputy Commissioner of the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development. Muñoz was a third-generation member of the Alaska Legislature. Her father served in the Alaska House and Senate,her grandfather as the mayor of Douglas,Alaska and in the Territorial and State Senates,and her grandmother served in the Territorial House.
John Bruce Coghill Jr. is an American politician who served as a member of the Alaska Senate,representing North Pole and other communities in the Fairbanks North Star Borough. First elected to the Alaska House of Representatives in 1998,he was appointed to his Senate seat in 2009 and was the Senate's majority leader from 2013 to 2016. During his Senate tenure,he served as Rules Committee chairman. In 2020,he lost re-election by 14 votes to fellow Republican Robert Myers Jr.,who defeated him in the state's Republican primary election.

She also represented Eagle River and Chugiak on the Anchorage Assembly from 1999 until being elected to the House. She was elected to each of these offices by defeating an incumbent in the election;her Assembly victory was over incumbent Ted Carlson,better known as the Anchorage police officer who arrested actor Steve McQueen in 1972. Her House victory came in the 2006 primary over incumbent Pete Kott,who by that point was involved in what became known as the Alaska political corruption probe,and who was later sentenced to federal prison. The probe also saw other longtime legislators leave office. Her Senate victory in 2012 came over longtime legislator Bettye Davis,who faced not only redistricting but a primary election challenge from former House member and congressional candidate Harry Crawford,whom Davis narrowly outpolled.

The Office of the Federal Coordinator,Alaska Natural Gas Transportation Projects is an independent agency of the U.S. government. Congress created the Office in the Alaska Natural Gas Pipeline Act of 2004.
Larry Persily is a newspaper publisher and former Federal Coordinator of the Alaska Natural Gas Transportation Projects 2010–2015. The office was charged with coordinating federal agency responses to private-sector efforts to develop a natural gas pipeline from Alaska's North Slope to supply the North American market. The Federal Coordinator is nominated with advice and consent of the Senate by the President of the United States. He was nominated by Barack Obama on December 9,2009,and was confirmed by the United States Senate on March 10,2010. The office closed down in 2015 as the private companies turned their attention to a gas export project instead.
Catherine Andrea Giessel is an American politician. A member of the Republican Party,she has served as Majority Leader of the Alaska Senate since 2023. From 2013 to 2021,Giessel represented District N in the Alaska Senate,including Northeast Anchorage,Anchorage Hillside and the Turnagain Arm communities of Bird,Girdwood,Indian,and Anchorage,all within the Municipality of Anchorage. First elected in 2010 while identifying with Tea Party values,she has also served as the vice-chair of the state Republican Party and had a career in nursing. Following redistricting,she was elected to a different senate seat in 2012. Giessel serves as chair of the Resources Committee and is a member of the Senate Majority Caucus. After Senate President Pete Kelly was unseated in 2018,Giessel was elected president of the Alaska Senate,a post she held until 2021. Giessel returned to the Alaska Senate in 2023,representing the newly configured District E after defeating incumbent Republican Roger Holland. She serves as Senate majority leader in the 33rd Legislature,overseeing a coalition caucus of eight Republicans and nine Democrats.
William L. "Willie" Hensley,also known by his Iñupiaq name Iġġiaġruk,is a semi-retired Democratic politician from the U.S. state of Alaska known for his work regarding Native Alaskan land rights. Hensley played a critical role in the creation of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) of 1971,one of the largest and most important land claims by indigenous peoples in U.S. history. Hensley went on to serve a term in the Alaska House of Representatives (1967–1970),and then a four-year term in the Alaska Senate (1971–1974). Hensley also served another year in the Alaska Senate from 1987 to 1988,when he was nominated by 6th Governor of Alaska Steve Cowper.
