Drunk History is a British television comedy which began airing on Comedy Central on 12 January 2015. It is based on the American TV series of the same name. In each episode, a celebrity (usually a comedian) struggles to recount an event from British history while intoxicated. Their account is then reconstructed by actors. The show is narrated by Jimmy Carr.^[1]

Drunk History is an American educational television comedy series produced by Comedy Central, based on the Funny or Die web series created by Derek Waters and Jeremy Konner in 2007. In each episode, an inebriated narrator, who is played by a comedian joined by host Waters, struggles to recount an event from history, while actors enact the narrator's anecdotes and also lip sync the dialogue. In addition to creator Derek Waters and celebrity guest stars, the show's additional characters are played by regulars such as Bennie Arthur, Tim Baltz, Mort Burke, Sarah Burns, Maria Blasucci, Craig Cackowski, Michael Cassady, Michael Coleman, Tymberlee Hill, Adam Nee, Jeremy J. Tutson, Greg Tuculescu, J.T. Palmer and Aasha Davis. Will Ferrell and Adam McKay are among the show's executive producers.

James Anthony Patrick Carr is a stand-up comedian, presenter, writer, and actor who holds both British and Irish citizenship. He is known for his deadpan delivery, dark humour, and heckler interaction. Carr moved to a career in comedy in 2000.

Gary Beadle is an English reality television personality from Prudhoe, Northumberland known primarily for appearing in the MTV reality series Geordie Shore from 2011 to 2017. In 2015, he appeared in the second series of Ex on the Beach, and later returned to take part in the All stars fifth series in 2016.

MTV is a British pay television channel operated by Viacom International Media Networks Europe, available in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The third series began airing on 8 March 2017 at 10pm on Comedy Central UK.^[2]
