Duayne Boachie is an English television and film actor from London. Between 2015 and 2019 he played Zack Loveday on Channel 4 series Hollyoaks .
He grew up in Tottenham and Wood Green in the London Borough of Haringey and attended Risley Avenue Primary School and St Thomas Moore School. He acted in school theatre productions, including playing Bill Sykes in Oliver Twist and Danny Zucko in Grease. He also attended BAT Theatre, based in Bernie Grant Arts Centre. [1] He studied Media Performance for Film, TV and Theatre at the University of Bedfordshire. [2]
In February 2015, Boachie made his debut on long-running Channel 4 soap-opera Hollyoaks playing the character Zack Loveday. [3] For his portrayal of Loveday, Boachie was nominated in the Best Newcomer category at the 2016 British Soap Awards. [4] In August 2017, he was longlisted for Sexiest Male at the Inside Soap Awards. [5] He continued as a regular character on Hollyoaks, until his final episode was broadcast in January 2019. [6]
Boachie appeared in the 2016 film 100 Streets , working alongside Idris Elba and Gemma Arterton. [7] In 2019, he appeared in the crime drama Blue Story . [8] In 2021, he played Binks on the BBC One drama You Don’t Know Me alongside Samuel Adewunmi, Sophie Wilde and Bukky Bakray. [9]
In 2024, he could be seen playing Honesty Courage, a key member of Dick Turpin's Essex Gang in Apple TV+ comedy series The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin , alongside Noel Fielding, and a host of guest stars such as Hugh Bonneville, Greg Davies and Tamsin Grieg. [10] [11] [12]
In 2016, he was among a group of actors employed by the British Electoral Commission to try and encourage young people to register to vote. [13] A football fan, [14] he has played in celebrity matches to raise money for charity. [15] [16] [17]

Producers asked Adams to audition for the role while he was working as a script editor on rival soap opera Emmerdale. The actor forgot his lines during his screen test but was still offered the role. The character was billed as a "troublesome new relative" joining the show's established O'Connor family. He is the cousin of Sinead O'Connor and nephew to Diane Hutchinson. Executive producer Bryan Kirkwood introduced the character to cause conflict with other characters.
Zack Loveday is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Duayne Boachie. The character made his first on-screen appearance on 24 February 2015. The show's producer Bryan Kirkwood had created the Loveday family to reintroduce the "domestic family warmth" it had lost. Billed as a "close-knit family", writers also created a series of secrets they character group would be hiding upon their introduction. The audition process for the role of Zack was long and Boachie had various auditions, call backs and screen tests with other actors. Jacqueline Boatswain and Karl Collins were cast as Zack's parents Simone and Louis Loveday respectively. Zack is characterised as a cheeky and charming person who wants to find love. He is sporty and a keen football player.
Cleo McQueen is a fictional character from the British soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Nadine Mulkerrin. Cleo is a member of the show's established McQueen family and was introduced as the younger sister of Porsche and Celine McQueen, who arrived in late 2014. Actress Jennifer Metcalfe, who plays Mercedes McQueen, suggested that more McQueens should be introduced, as she knew the show was losing two members of the family. Mulkerrin had previously auditioned for the role of Phoebe Jackson, however this role was later given to Mandip Gill. Upon learning she had been cast as Cleo, she gave up her job as a waitress and relocated to Liverpool, where the show is filmed. She made her first appearance during the episode broadcast on 26 January 2015. Mulkerrin took maternity leave from the show in 2019, departing in the episode broadcast on 4 November 2019. She returned on 18 November 2020 before departing permanently on 24 May 2022 after Mulkerrin decided to leave the soap. The character made an unannounced return on 16 January 2024.
