The Dublin Ladies' Senior Football Championship is the senior Ladies' Gaelic football competition featuring clubs affiliated to the Dublin GAA. Ballyboden St. Enda's are the competitions most successful club, having won 10 titles. Between 2000 and 2008 they completed a nine-in-a-row. They won their tenth title in 2010. In more recent seasons, the most successful club has been Foxrock–Cabinteely. Between 2015 and 2021 they completed a seven-in-a-row. The winners of the Dublin Senior Ladies' Football Championship are awarded the Michael Murphy Perpetual Cup. They also qualify to play in the Leinster Ladies' Senior Club Football Championship and if they win that, they qualify for the All-Ireland Ladies' Club Football Championship.

Finals

The winners of the Dublin Senior Ladies' Football Championship qualify to play in the Leinster Ladies' Senior Club Football Championship and if they win that, they qualify for the All-Ireland Ladies' Club Football Championship. Ballyboden St. Enda's, Portobello, Na Fianna, Kilmacud Crokes and Foxrock–Cabinteely have all won Leinster titles. Ballyboden St. Enda's have also won two All-Irelands. Between 2015 and 2019 Foxrock–Cabinteely completed a five-in-a-row of Dublin and Leinster doubles.

Winners by club

Ballyboden St. Enda's are the competitions most successful club, having won 10 titles. Between 2000 and 2008 they completed a nine-in-a-row. Naomh Mearnóg ended their monopoly of championships when they defeated them in the 2009 semi-final. [43] [22] They won their tenth title in 2010. [19] Portobello were the dominant club during the 1990s. After winning their first title in 1992, they completed a five-in-a-row between 1995 and 1999. [43] In more recent seasons, the most successful club has been Foxrock–Cabinteely between 2015 and 2021 they completed a seven-in-a-row. [8] [9]

The winners of the Dublin Senior Ladies' Football Championship are awarded the Michael Murphy Perpetual Cup. The trophy was donated by the Murphy family to honour and remember their son and brother, a pilot who was Dublin GAA enthusiast. [8] [18] [43] [44]

Rachel Ruddy is a senior Dublin ladies' footballer. She was a member of the Dublin teams that won the All-Ireland Senior Ladies' Football Championship in 2010, 2017 and 2019. In 2017 she received her second All Star award. Ruddy has also played for the Dublin senior camogie team.

The Leinster Ladies' senior football club championship has been running since 1978. The trophy is named after the man who presented it, Bill Daly, a Cavanman who lived in Dublin and was involved with Ballyboden St Endas. Kilmacud Crokes are the current holders having secured their second ever title in November 2023, and will represent Leinster in the All Ireland series.

The Dublin county ladies' football team represents Dublin GAA in ladies' Gaelic football. The team competes in inter-county competitions such as the All-Ireland Senior Ladies' Football Championship, the Leinster Senior Ladies' Football Championship and the Ladies' National Football League.

Portobello GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the Rathmines area of the south side of Dublin in Ireland. The club has adult men's football, hurling, camogie, ladies' Gaelic football and handball teams.

Dr. Noëlle Healy is a senior Dublin ladies' footballer. She was a member of the Dublin teams that won the All-Ireland Senior Ladies' Football Championship in 2010, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. She captained Dublin in the 2016 final and was named Player of the Match following the 2017 final. In 2017 she was also named the TG4 Senior Player's Player of the Year. She was the first Dublin player to win the award. She was also a member of the Dublin team that won the 2018 Ladies' National Football League and in the same year collected her fourth All Star award.

The 2018 Dublin Senior Hurling Championship was the 131st staging of the Dublin Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Dublin County Board in 1887. The championship began on 5 April 2018 and ended on 28 October 2018.

Sinéad Aherne is a senior Dublin ladies' footballer. In 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, she captained Dublin as they won the All-Ireland Senior Ladies' Football Championship. In 2010, when Dublin won their first All-Ireland title, she was both player of the match and the top scorer in the final with 2–7. She also captained Dublin when they won the 2018 Ladies' National Football League. In 2018 she was named the TG4 Senior Player's Player of the Year and received her seventh All Star award. She has also represented Ireland at international rules.

Sinéad Goldrick is an Irish dual code footballer, playing at the highest level in both Gaelic football and Australian rules football. She captained Dublin ladies in the 2014 All-Ireland Senior Ladies' Football Championship final and was a member of the Dublin teams that won the All-Ireland Senior Ladies' Football Championship in 2017, 2018 and 2019. She was also a member of the Dublin team that won the 2018 Ladies' National Football League. In 2019 she won her seventh All Star award. During the 2010s she was also a prominent member of the Foxrock–Cabinteely team that won Dublin and Leinster titles and played in All-Ireland finals. In October 2019 it was announced that Goldrick has agreed to play for Melbourne Football Club of the AFLW in 2020 and she won a premiership with the club in 2022.

Foxrock–Cabinteely GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the Foxrock, Cabinteely, Johnstown and Cornelscourt areas of Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown. The club was founded in 2005, following the merger of Foxrock Girls Gaelic Club and Cabinteely GAA. The club specialises in ladies' Gaelic football. During the 2010s Foxrock–Cabinteely have won both the Dublin Ladies' Senior Football Championship and the Leinster Ladies' Senior Club Football Championship. They have also played in All-Ireland Ladies' Club Football Championship finals.
